Agree, Hope the Lallana rumours just die. He's 27 and even now is overlooked ahead of bloody Welbeck. Worth £20m tops

I'd like Lallana but not at any of the prices quoted I'd go at around £15 million. I agree on Lovren he would be a great buy.

saints lose £5 mill of any fee, so sadly they need to up the price to make it worth their while.

he would be better off staying there and getting saints into europe, unless the lure of decent wages at either city or chelsea sat on their bench is too good for him to turn down.

Dont think he would have a place at Chelsea or City and would likely be, as you said, on the bench.
For me Llalana will go to one of Liverpool or Arsenal. But probably not this summer, I think he will be at Saints for one more year to develop and drive his price up.

Do you think the Adam Lallana deal has become even more complicated now that Liverpool are playing Southampton in the first game of the season?

I think there is no chance that the deal will go through even for a ridiculous fee of 25+ Million, before this game. So he would not even get a chance to work with the team (after the world cup and his summer hols in Butlin).. .. alongside the pressure of the fee, and the fact you really need 2 or 3 top, top seasoned champions league/winners to follow up on a great season.. He is not worth the risk at all !!!

He'll be another year older as well, so price starts going down and interest will decrease.

You can have Costa, based on last night's bollocks <laugh>

Brendan Rogers should tell Southampton to £$)%% RIGHT OFF.!!! Good player but he is not the final piece in the puzzle to win the league..Anyway who would he replace ....

I think we should fake bid then pull out at the last minute due to player failing medial on false ground thus unsettling the player fro game oen and then ruining his sale value up to 31st aug.

or just put in + £1 bid.

Is it possible for World Cup games and friendlies to drive a players price down. From what I've seen of Lallana this summer he ain't worth more than £10mil.
That maybe just **** England and Woy's tactics, but not impressed so far.

Lovren on the other hand, much more impressed.

  13. Maybe but then, that would just put a delay on it surely? The game is on 16 august but the window doesn't close until the end of August. can't see us being keen on waiting that long though.

    That's probably peaked now too!

Southampton are being pillaged... with the money they receive they will probably bounce back... but next year will be a transition year for them.
