When does the window actually open? I may as well shut down and stop checking numerous websites until we can actually buy someone!
1 July usually Edit: although we did more or less announce Kolo Toure's signing prior to the window opening last year
It's supposed to open at midnight on the last day of the season http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/fans/faqs/when-does-transfer-window-open-close.html
Google for 1 July also gives results. It's hard to believe the PL's own website is wrong so maybe there's some technical BS that the paperwork only gets done after 1 July.
Isn't it the last day of the season for british transfers? Ie we could get Lallana now, but 1 July for the whole of Europe, so we have to wait till then for Sanchez!
Even my nan would bag some goals playing in that team! Maybe it's just the times I've watched him, but he goes from one extreme to the other - constantly passing to people and not having a go himself, or doing a Johnson and trying to take on the world. Never really stood out to me whilst at Barca, but at Udinese he was fantastic.
Like I said, inconsistent. I think Rodgers could work well with him though so wouldn't mind going for him if the price was right
Only worry is rumours Juventus may be interested, could see him wanting to go back to Italy (easier move). Still, its nice to be linked with him, he is a step up from Konoplyanka and the type we should be targeting now we have Champions League football.
He's definitely been inconsistent and has had some average performances this year, but when he's on he can really shred teams. Your nan might bag a few at Barca but she probably wouldn't outscore/create Neymar, Pedro and co. Sanchez has been Barca's biggest attacking threat besides Messi this season, second most goals and third most assists.
Left back? Cole could be interesting as he's consistent and rarely injured. My worry about him would be the fact he's lost a yard of pace and may need a fairly sizable wage. Otherwise it'd be a fairly good signing. Moreno and Rodriguez have been mooted, too, for good reason. However, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Kurzawa. Like the other two, he's 21, he's taller than both and also cheaper than both. He's very good technically, and will no doubt be France's #1 LB after Evra. Transfer market has Rodgriguez at ~£17.5m, Moreno at ~£8.5m and Kurzawa at £2.5m. I think they're all good players but Kurzawa also has played well in the Champions League this year -- he even made CL team of the year on the BBC website -- so I'm surprised no one has mentioned him as a possible target.
