Cannon feels like the lowest risk option. You'd assume he'd be oven ready to start the next match.
Mendy would probably need a few weeks.

Also regarding other interest. I read yesterday that Sheffield Utd were planning on doing a loan to buy and Stoke didn’t fancy paying the perm fee and wanted a loan.

maybe we could actually win this? I don’t even think Sheffield utd’s takeover is official yet?

Think this is interesting. Apparently Leeds aren't going to go back in for him but surely they don't bid without some encouragement from the player/agent. Lowball fee to unsettle a promotion rivals best player is also amusing.

Might shift ekwah/AA yet to bring in funds for they replacements. Clarke money could fund the two strikers, be a lot of money for them both when we only play one Uptop.

You’re definitely right re movement.

not sure on height just mendy looks a lot stronger and better at that hold up play to play off. Lots of times we’ve fired the ball into Mayenda
Ligue 2 isnt the most physical of leagues tho and i reckon Cannon's hold up play is better. Cannon isnt great in the air tho, its an area he def needs to improve - timing of jumps, getting more explosive etc

Im not against Mendy at all, his goal scoring record speaks for itself but id have him 3rd choice at the minute

I’d be very excited by cannon. I really didn’t expect us to bid for him

Tbh I wouldn't be concerned about the heading aspect. Good movement in behind as well as the ability to hold it up is imo what's more important for us.
I'm talking myself round into really wanting Cannon :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I think it's good sense to shift some dead wood as long as the deals are good enough. I don't see a way into the team for Ba, but Ekwah and Aouchiche would need replacing on the assumption you want more or less 2 player for each position.

Im not surprised, think it was @Prehab26 that said it but we have been interested in him for a while now

I just think hes a really tidy footballer who has a bit of everything. Hes a very good finisher and he knows the championship, its really just about if hes over his injuries or not

He will def be leaving Leicester, Cooper was asked why he was starting Vardy 1st game of the season, despite Vardy missing most of preseason and he said it was because he had no othrr strikers - Cannon was on the bench

Cannon does move those things, i like the way he links play and hes a willing runner. He is also good at pressing from the front, honestly think he ticks most boxes for us

I am not 100% on this but his pressing doesnt look a natural attribute. The best bit of Mayenda so far is his trigger press for me. Mind you, if Regis fancies him then I would be proven wrong.
Yeah you’re probably right. RLB has apparently wanted him for a while though

£13m is at least £8m off for me. The lad is a prem player and a good one.
