Also out of all of the strikers linked I think Cannon is the most likely to make an instant impact this season. Echoing @Scout73
Personally think all 3 make an instant impact.

I think cannon is a good player but I’ve crying for a big physical centre forward so imo personally I’d prefer one of the other two

Same mate, sucker for a fancy foreign name even though 90% of our signings from abroad have been bang average haha

100%!! we still haven’t had a single foreign based signing be a success here in this KLD era. 90% of the British based ones have been.

I don’t see how we need another winger unless we are planning on using Wilson exclusively as a CF. I would ideally like another 2 CF. Despite never having heard of him a few days ago I’ll be gutted if we miss out on Simic but if we don’t get him then I don’t think we could have done anymore as a club. The fact that there’s been no news of the deal falling through can only be positive and that we are being very thorough and professional

This by the way is why our good start is so important. Players like Cannon and others choosing between championship clubs will psychologically see us as promotion candidates now, even if three games in is way too early to be sure of that.

If we’d lost to Burnley the whole picture would be different.

others may disagree but I honestly don’t think it can be overstated the importance and benefit of this start.
Spot on mate. Agree 100%.

I worried that we wouldnt get off to a good start due to last seasons form carrying over. Credit to everyone, including Dodds and Proctor, for the pre season and first few games. Momentum is a big thing amd if we can somehow keep it up for 2 or 3 more games then we will have a top 6 cushion so soon in the season.

It's the unknown I reckon. In our heads, Simic could be the next Haaland (even though his record in the Austrian Bundesliga is poor). We know that Cannon is probably an efficient Championship striker with a little growth potential at most.

I'd be happy with any of Simic, Cannon and Mendy. I'm not going to be picky. 2 of them would be perfect.
