Transfer Rumours Summer 2026

For whatever reason, I feel totally disconnected from the club this summer. The lack of action/news/information is almost depressive for supporters.

You can blame the World Cup and it's massive promotion in the media, but the euphoria of our promotion last season has evaporated - for me anyway.

I'll admit I'm not a fan of international football anyway and I've said that before, but I'll be happy when it's all over and we get back to the nitty gritty.

I suppose it was always going to be an anticlimax.
After years of tumultuous summers, new managers, rafts of players in and out, some continuity and little churn was always going to be odd.

A player or two in would be nice though.

You and I know we'll never agree on the international games so I won't get into that.

I see this a positive in the sense his credentials are good but the acid test will be whether Tan can be persuaded to part with some cash to acquire targeted players.

I see it as positive on the basis that new players are signed or very close to it before announcements are made.

It stops other blood sucking clubs jumping on our potential signings.

I know we like to see who is arriving but a bit of patience is also needed. The window has been open less than 10 days.

I'm happy to wait for early July.
