I wasn’t advocating City sell him rather have an open debate about his future.
Go on then - what's your opinion about his future - or more importantly, as it reflects on the future of CCFC?

Can you merge the lawlor thread into this Sparkey?Go on then - what's your opinion about his future - or more importantly, as it reflects on the future of CCFC?
Lawlor has a few mistakes in him as we've seen. It'll take plenty of game time to knock off those rough edges. Game time he'll get with us.Just how good is Lawlor anyway? Despite lavish praise from Bellamy and a couple of spectacular solo "headline" goals for City, in all honesty he's just a good prospect who's had a stellar initial first team season as a youngster. In reality, he's an appreciating asset who has a distinct financial value to the club.
He’s clearly talented and has potential if he stays fit to be a mainstay of a higher placed team or possibly abroad and the national team for a long time. Whether yet he’s got what it takes to be a PL player is debatable as he’s still developing his career; he’s certainly the best defender who has come through the ranks for a long time.Go on then - what's your opinion about his future - or more importantly, as it reflects on the future of CCFC?
Who was that lump of a defender who had one good season for them and they got Fulham to spend £15m for him and was then hardly ever heard of again? You're right about the Swans as well. They've steadily churned out £5-10M players from their accademy. We've produced nothing of that calibre since Ramsey.
