Just returning to players who may not be with us next season.
It is quite worrying.

Of the regular starters, we could be without half a team.
Trott, Ng, Bagan, Wintle and Kellyman.

I dont think we'll be without all of them, but it's a concerning prospect.

Looking at our first team squad, excluding those out of contract, we have 18 players of which 16 count towards the 25 player cap.

Dalman and Choo, pull your fingers out.

Not sure where to post this so I'll stick it here. I thought from his recent comments, Gavin Ward was in for the long haul at City............ :emoticon-0138-think

Carefully worded announcement.
It doesnt say which party instigated the departure.
I know its the end of his contract, but was there the offer of an extension?
As you say, he waxed lyrical about BBM a short while ago and sounded enthusiastic.
Does BBM want an upgrade? He usually seems to play the cards he's dealt.

From that report if it's correct, it looks like Gavin Ward was more or less given the elbow by BBM in favour of his own man.

I suppose that's way with successful managers.

Ward has worked well this season, but as we know, there are aspects of Trott's game that can be improved on. If he stays those areas have to be worked on in the summer.

I see other clubs, whose season has ended, are turfing out players already. They seem to be older journeyman where there contracts are up or youngsters not expected to make it.

I haven't seen anyone who might be of interest to us but who do you think we will want to offload? For me Etete, Chambers and Robinson are the obvious ones. The first one is clear, the second 2 have been good squad members this year but not set the world on fire in Div. 1 so cant be expected to do much in the Championship.

There are a few youngsters on loan who have also not sparked. Could they be leaving?

A mate at our fishing club is one of BBM's predecessors. Had an interesting chat with him at the lodge today.

He was at city when they were taken over in 2008 and spent time in Abu Dhabi with the owners helping design training facilities amongst other things.

I still worry about losing out 2nd highest goal scorer who scored his goals in fewer minutes than anyone else.

Interesting given that our work should be recommencing on our training facilities again now!!

Agreed on Robbo. Personally I'd love to see him stay but if he remains as low in the pecking order as he has been then I'm not sure it could be justified financially (he's surely one of the higher earners?) and I can't imagine him wanting to stay as a bit part player either (unless his money is too good to turn down).

I still think he offers a lot more than meets the eye but it has to be right for the club overall.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to see Chambers leave either. It'll probably cost a good wedge to replace him with another experienced CB of his quality.
I know he hasn't always hit the heights but he's a decent player at our level.
Now if BBM has a superior replacement lined up then that's great but I wouldn't want to see wholesale changes made.

Masky has a good wedge…a few of you know that already.
Masky would start at the very bottom and work upwards, example BFB, IB and TwoWaanks out…won’t be needed next season! Off you toot!

Charlie Savage anyone? We have lots of midfielders but much depends on who BBM wants to retain and who wants to sign for a further period. Would add to the Welsh contingent at the club.

It's been flagged on WoL. Other clubs interested, including Lincoln. £1.5M mentioned as a fee.
