Just been watching more about Franculino at Midtjylland. No links for us but his finishing looks excellent and he should be available at a good price. Granted the reason he's available at a good price is due to blowing his knee out and missing most of the season so potential problem there.

Not to dampen the excitement but I believe he's right footed, although pretty competent with both.

Don't know what he's like on the right wing.

Read some comments earlier that apparently chris wetherspoon has said we would only have room for a couple of £20 million signings atm but that cant be right?

Ah fair, not sure where but I'd seen it mentioned that he was and had seen a couple of clips where he'd used his left foot. A promising link, nonetheless.

I think him being quite two footed has meant a lot of the popular sights assume he's left footed - fotmob for example has him as left footed and I know lots of people take their info from there so could just have been a misunderstanding in one of the stories.

And my favourite part about the link, he'd be homegrown at club eligibile in 3 seasons. No idea on the reliability though.

Which makes him only really another option at right back, can see why the club would maybe have doubts about paying 20m for a position you'd argue has our strongest depth already when there's no senior right winger and now only reinildo who started 23/38 games at left back.

No idea what the full budget is for this summer but there's obviously more pressing matters, would be brilliant if 4/5m saved on geertruida by renegotiating could be the difference in getting our top target at the other end.

Geertruida and Hume competing, Mukiele and Ballard competing, Alderete and a new LCB competing and Reinildo and a new left back competing. That would give an incredible level of depth with O’Nien the insurance for every position.

Would be quite good that, in an ideal world we clone mukiele and don't sign geertruida but I'm not sure on the ethics of that.

I said the same a few pages back.

Mukiele way better at CB + I believe he's struggled with injuries for a while. We need to keep him at the back where his athleticism shines against elite forwards like Haaland.

I think 09 would be decent in a back 3 away from home when playing inferior teams abroad.

I'm normally the 1st to criticise WMS but I listened to it and he was asked what we could do if we didn't sell anyone, and he said a couple 20mill signings. Probably not far off the truth tbh with squad size etc
