Shane Long had a really good season actually. Would fit very well with the way you play. Chases down everything, is pacey and generally a nuisance for defenders. I'd imagine he'd be an improvement on Okazaki. 25m seems like Southampton just don't want to sell though and are slapping a ridiculous price tag on him as a result.

... I agree although he is not as quick footed as Okazaki ...wouldn't want to pay more than 7 ...
 
Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri wants £12m-rated Nice midfielder Nampalys Mendy, 23, to replace fellow Frenchman Kante, who is also being targeted by Chelsea and Arsenal.

We were linked with him and Kante last season but got Kante instead when the price increased - is a DM as well and meant to be the better prospect although Kante was pretty much the finished article as we have seen.
 
Manchester United are confident striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 34, will link up again with manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

But Ibrahimovic's agent has cast doubt over his move to the club, saying where the Sweden forward ends up may be a surprise.

Leicester have had an £18m bid rejected for former Stoke midfielder Steven N'Zonzi. The 27-year-old helped Sevilla win this season's Europa League.

He has a £21M release clause and won't accept anything less.

We are apparently looking at Micheal Carrick if he leaves Man Utd - having someone of his experience would do us well imho.
 
11:36 Liverpool signing 'would have preferred move to Leicester City'

It seems that Liverpool's new goalkeeper signing Loris Karius would have preferred a move to Leicester City.

The Mainz goalkeeper signed for the Anfield club 10 days ago in a deal reported to be worth 10 million euros.

However, agents involved in that deal and negotiations over fellow kepper Ron-Robert Zieler's impending move to Leicester City have revealed in a German newspaper report that the keeper would have preferred a move to the King Power Stadium.

Presumably, there was no interest from City in signing the Mainz keeper as they had other targets.

It gives you some idea of Leicester City's international reputation now and is a good sign in coming transfers.

It also seems like Islam Slimani is going to Juventus so we have turned our attention to Troy Deeney.
