Spurs won’t sign players off us. That’s fair play to them in a way as they are punching above their weight given lack of investment in the playing side but of the top 6 they are the only ones who won’t splash the kind of money we would ask. Pretty sure a number of players we have signed including Maddison and also Ricardo, Maguire and Silva were linked with Spurs. Whether they all chose us over them I don’t know, guess it depends how much genuine interest was there from Spurs.
On another note, Che Adams scores a hat trick again for Brum yesterday. Looks a prospect and is from Leicester. We were linked in Jan along with Southampton and Burnley. Surely we’d beat them two but if he carries on this form there may be bigger clubs interested.

Problem with signing Maddison is he is young, english, under a long term contract and we dont want to sell. We paid £24M so he would cost £60-70M

£40mill for Callum Wilson? Great player but a lot for someone whose had his injury problems. Would prefer Che Adams.

Danny Welbeck is a free agent in the summer. Che Adams is a Leicester lad and smashing them in for fun and Mitrovic has impressed me
I would look at them. Callum Wilson is massively over priced at that price
I’d say no to Welbeck as I think he’s over rated and a sick note. On a similar note I think Sturrige is on a free, Rodgers would be more likely to go for him I reckon as he got the best of him at Liverpool.

Free agent, doesnt score enough but worth a 1-2 year contract and could work really well with Vardy
If we sign 2 strikers I would loan Iheanacho out to the championship or scottish pub league. Let him score some goals and then bring him back
Think Wilson will be overpriced being at somewhere like Bournemouth, much better to go for Che Adam for half the price.
Welbeck and Sturridge, im not sure on either, we already have Iheanacho from the big clubs, they won't improve and don't think they will offer much experience like Kevin Phillips did for us.

I really want Tielemans on a permanent, I think he will be a fantastic player. Chilwell saying he is going nowhere which is encouraging so with Benkovic coming back we are fine at the back and may just need an upgrade on Mendy and someone like Che Adams to make us into a very very good side.
Summer we need to replace Fuchs. Benkovic replaces Morgan, Amartey for Simpson
Buy Tielemans and a defensive playmaker, sign a winger and a striker or 2

Sign Tielemans and we are sorted - the perfect deep-lying passer to sit next to N’didi to allow us to either player Maddison higher or support Vardy with a second striker.
Defensively we need a back up LB - could be Elder but really anyone will do. Strikers we are sort of ok on paper, just need more from Ihenacho or Slimani...

If Southampton go down we should target James Ward-Prowse. Ive always rated him and he is getting better all the time
