Vardy is unique and a lot about how we play is because of him. At some point he wont be here any longer and we will adapt again and this may be when Ihenacho and maybe Slimani if he is still here will show their strengths.

Arsenal 'want to sign Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi this summer' as part of squad shake-up - Mirror On...
Arsenal are keen on landing Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester this summer, according to reports.

It has been claimed that the Gunners have been in contact with Ndidi's representatives over the potential of a move.

"There has been so much interest in him. He is going to be a top player and Arsenal have been in contact," a source close to Ndidi told The Sun .

"They want to sign him this summer.

"Arsene Wenger is a manager he admires a lot and his friend Alex Iwobi has told him lots of great things about the club."

... a lot of clubs will be interested because, not only is he already doing brilliantly, his potential is absolutely massive ... we should slap a "start at £120 million to open talks - or **** right off" notice on him, and leave it at that <cheers>

.....such as how they are continually 'narrowly' missing out on the Premier League title, how well they're doing in the Champions League, and how resolute they are when the going gets tough?

Here are some an interesting rumours - West Brom are after Micheal Appleton for their new manager and West Ham are after Eduardo Macia as Head of Recruitment.

We are also linked with a RB!!! - Ricardo Pereira from Porto who played under Puel at Nice.

Mendy looks like he will have a future when he comes back here - Nice don't have a fee agreed and Puel looks to keep his old player.

Ben Arfa to us is a strong possibility - does seem he would prefer to go somewhere sunnier which is fair enough.

So looking at the teams who look like going down. I think the current 3 will go Southampton, Stoke and West Brom. But Palace and Huddersfield still arent safe

Which players would you want?

West Brom

Jonny Evans has been a long term target and has a £3M relegation release clause
Salomon Rondon cant finish but is a handful
Craig Dawson would add decent cover to the defence

Stoke

Joe Allen defensive midfielder

Southampton

Cedric as we need a decent attacking right back
Ward-Prowse I would love but see him going to a top 6 side
Austin we to add some depth to the strikers

Huddersfield

Aaron Mooy has looked class whenever ive seen him

Palace

Zaha would cost too much and go to a top 6 probably Spuds
Townsend we have been linked with

One missed from Stoke would be Shaqiri (sp). Wouldn’t have Austin as he’s always injured, the rest seem decent options

Yeah Shaqiri would probably be as good as we can get for Mahrez - has goals in him.

Rondon does a job but not really worth the money

Not sure Evans is worth he contract he’ll probably demand

Allen could be good next to N’didi - but can he play in a two?

Mooy could fit us well

I saw somewhere that Rondon has a relegation release of £8mill (as Evans does for £3mill). At that price he could be a shrewd signing

We are linked with James Maddison from Norwich - is young but really highly rated.

Shaquiri in for Mahrez, think it would be foolish not to look at players like him now, would like it sorted before Mahrez moves on. Would prefer this to Townsend.

Evans will goto a top 6 side and sit on the bench for ridiculous wages if his transfer fee will be so small.

Joe Allen would be a good solid option if we sold King.

Zaha will prob jump over us, him and Mahrez are probably the most talented outside of the top 6.

I don't honestly think we'll get any of them though and certainly don't want Rondon.

I don't have a lot of confidence in our abilities in the transfer market to be perfectly honest. Our recent bigger money signings have been absolutely appalling. The only ones to have lived up to their price tags are Maguire and Ndidi. Compare how much we have spent with what Burnley or Bournemouth have spent and consider where we sit in the table, you have to wonder whether we're looking in the wrong places. After the signings of Iheanacho, Iborre and Silva someone commented that we'd got the best squad of players ever assembled at the club. It doesn't look like that after the past few performances. They have their moments but don't keep the effort going.

It won't happen, but I'd love to see a team captain along the lines of Roy Keane who defines the spirit on the pitch and makes sure each and every player always gives their all. I'm sure the players we have are more than capable, but they just don't seem to be able to do it for 90 minutes let alone week in week out. They need a boot up their pampered, expensive backsides.

Think you are being a bit harsh ... early days for Iheanacho and Silva ....

Musa yes ... but Slim's goals were instrumental in taking us to the QFs of the Champions League and I think he would do quite a lot better from a goals perspective if we actually played more to his strengths rather than predominantly as a counter attacking team ...

Slimani’s goals?

All 1 of them

Mahrez scored the goals that got us through

Danny Drinkwater is to ask Chelsea to leave in the summer after he wants more games. The grass isnt always greener

I would have him back but not at £35M

As for our recent business. Ndidi aside last year was a disaster. Premier League champions and we just signed a load of chumps like Hernandez, Zieler, Slimani and Musa

Nampalys Mendy may yet come good under Puel

As for the seasons

Harry Maguire was a great signing. I think Iheanacho will come good and Iborra has done well

I havent been impressed with Adrien Silva but i dont think we will see what he can do until next season

Jakupovic is awful, ever ever rated him at Hull

Dragovic has done well when he has played and should be ahead of Morgan IMO

Diabate was a snip and with abit of work could become a real gem
