Does anyone know who was at the stadium today? I was going in to the stadium through the turnstiles by the players car park and a player came in about 2:45pm chauffeur driven in a Bentley in a tracksuit and then put his hood up to try and not be seen. I saw his face but didn’t recognise him - he looked Algerian?
Barnsley have been on a fairly poor run so has been rumours he might go out on loan to a higher paved championship team. Or Puel wants a look at him for us.

"Puel discussed the talents of young midfielder Harvey Barnes after he returned to the Club from his loan spell at Barnsley on Monday.
The Frenchman added: “When some players, a young player, loan with different clubs I look at them to feel their quality. I think Harvey can bring something for the team.
“He needs to continue to work and if we can help him develop with the team in the training session and perhaps some game time it will be a good thing for him.
“But he has good quality and what he can do on the pitch with Barnsley was amazing.”
So it sounds very much that he'll be staying with us and Puel looking to get him involved.

Morgan injured and prior to that speculation we might be in for Gibson. Surely more likely now as we need to be signing for next season onwards anyway.

Hmm, if we were going for an aged right back on a free I’d sooner have seen the Sagna rumour after the summer transfer window have legs. TBH i thought Johnson was crap at his best. Just my view though

... there are two problems with taking a player like GJ on ... firstly, his biggest strength was his athleticism ... he was never the most gifted technical footballer ... and he's now lost a good yard of pace ... secondly, his wages ... if he's willing to take a substantial pay cut then possibly ... personally I'd rather play Amartey there ... he had a cracking game yesterday and would really benefit from a sustained run in the team possibly prior to a switch to centre back .. or as part of a 3 ...a back 3 of Amartey, Dragovic and Maguire would have a bit of everything, athleticism, youth and a good degree of comfort on the ball ...
We are linked with Augsburg full-back Daniel Opare - is out of contract in the summer so they want to cash in.

Kante was the only one with a buy-out clause ... Mahrez market value must now be north of £60 million given the daft prices being quoted for others .. we don't have to sell him for another season if we don't want to ...
He signed a new contract last season with the promise that he would be able to move to a club that meets our valuation - would make sense that his new contract has that in as a clause as £50m does seem like a fixed number.
Yh he did but he had a £22M release clause that Arsenal activated but since removed after he signed another new contract
And Mahrez doesnt have any clause of any kind

I think the able to move was a gentleman’s agreement as oppose to an official clause. If the agreement was for an amount that meets our value I’d have thought that would have risen as Fosse says
With the market getting more stupid as times goes and add to the fact £50M was the price for Mahrez on the back of a bang average season
