The talk of Dennis Praet leaving seems to have quietened down. He will be like a new signing if he stays and while not like Lookman I can see him taking that spot on the right ahead of Albrighton. Great player so hopefully he and his family can settle which I read was the problem.
Agreed, he seems to have that bit of extra creativity we need. He’d be a different type of wide player to Barnes which is no bad thing. I’d love to see him given another chance.

It’s looking increasingly like Fofana is going to leave for a world record fee. It’s not as good as it looks as don’t forget we paid over £30m for him and 20% profit is going to St Etienne but if that transfer single handedly sorts us out then I wouldn’t mind too much.

Just a shame it’s so late as Coady, Mee, Tarkowski, Colwill have all been missed as replacements….

I wonder whether Tyrone Mings might be after a change with everything happening with him there!?

In 12 months time Fofana will be worth even more ...

..... let's hope we have a sell-on deal in there.

Very disappointed by the player's attitude. So, Fofana, fof*ck off. Now we need to spend that money wisely in the right areas of the pitch. No panic buying. Until that time happens the players need to show some fighting spirit and effort. Starting today.

Agreed

hmmmm??
Young lad i know but not unless I'm missing something what false and misleading comments did the club make about young wes???
Ah well we move on as per..

Can we sign someone now please...
No one from Southampton though, obviously

Hopefully now the Wes saga is concluded, the transfer window finally closes, we might see a bit of stability return and actually concentrate on the pitch. Win a few games, happy stuff again.

Whilst the last two we got have yet to meet expectations I think they are probably better than us in the transfer market. As we know, their head of recruitment will be with us from this month so I'm very optimistic for January and beyond.

The concerning thing is a week or so ago Brendan was talking of a few signings and highlighted positions we need to strengthen. This week, it's changed to 'there might be a little bit of money to do something'.
I know we aren't going to have suddenly found £100m to revamp the team but we're desperately in need of reinforcements.

Turkish winger signs today ... another winger from Sporting Lisbon apparently incoming ... meanwhile academy winger scores twice as we beat Rotherham... a week after another academy winger scores against Cardiff ...

... do you think we have enough wingers yet? <whistle>

If the rumours are true and Iheanacho goes - we will be really short for a striker - as sadly Vardy is more of an impact substition these days and Daka for me really doesn't cut the mustard... who is out there if we need to buy though???

I wouldn’t see Iheanacho. I’d put all my eggs in one basket with him and Vardy as back up. I know it’s a risk with his contract running down but if he scores 20 goals and we’re promoted it will be worth it, even f he moves on for free next year.
If he picks up an injury then we may come unstuck, who is there other than Vardy? Opoku is on loan and we’ve sold Hirst.

Where do we see Cannon fitting in? Surely he’s 3rd choice, but he looked half decent for Preston last season.
What do we do with Daka now? Is it possible to loan him to anyone, personally I’d contact all the Saudi clubs and see if anyone fancied him!

Daka can still go on loan, as can Souttar, Ward and anyone else ...

Intriguing that Wilf apparently decided to stay, despite allegedly having agreed personal terms with Forest...

Cannon did quite well at Preston last season - scored 8 league goals despite only joining them for the second half of the season ... looks a more 'natural' finisher than Daka from the YouTube footage ... some calm placed finishes ...
