What chance we go for Bassey from Rangers? Would he want to come back? It would be a bit galling paying a hefty fee for someone we let go not so long ago.

Literally just get a proper CB, a starting winger and with KDH emerging, Mendy improving, Soumare optimistically having had a year to adjust and a summer to get fitter and Choudhury never letting you down arguably don’t even need to replace Tielemans if the right player isn’t available.

Lookman would be nice as a back up to both wings and a sub.

Without Europe too it should help place less demand on each player

Looks like Tarkowski is off to Everton. Ben Mee is also available on a free and I’d argue an actual better fit for us - there’s a transfer I’d love to see happen.

can’t see it happening though

We need to fix our defensive game (which is broader than just the back 4) ... neither Tielemans or Maddison is particularly effective in that regard ... we miss Wilf's physicality when he's not playing ....

It may also be time for us to go beyond sentimentality ...

Kaspar has been brilliant in his time at the club but was a key factor in out frailty from set pieces. Time to give Daniel Iversen a proper go?

Caglar Soyuncu has lost his way ... stick or twist ... him and Fofana were pretty good when Evans was injured.

Pereira ... can he get back to his best?

Amartey?

Choudhry, Perez, Praet, Albrighton, Mendy, Soumare ... time for all to move on? (I too would have loved to have kept Pratt but are bridges burnt?)

Iheanacho - one good season but didn't really kick-on ... time to cut our losses?

Lookman - flashes ... but enough to persevere with?

I think Kasper will see out the year remaining on his contract and go abroad. We've released Jaku... and rumour has it Ward might be off to Bournemouth or Forest. Obviously he wants first team football for the WC. Iverson to be No 2 for the season and presumably see if he's good enough to be No 1 next year.

Soyuncu reported to want to leave. I think I'd be happy for him to stay. The debacle with Turkey at the Euro's just seemed to drain him of any confidence. I'd also keep Amartey for another year. Good back up option.

Iheanacho I think probably needs to move on, along with the others listed.

Apart from Kevin. We can't get rid of Kevin.

I'm 50/50 with Lookman. Happy if he stays, not fussed if he leaves.

Is our lack of a head of recruitment hindering any transfers this summer or are Rodgers and the team just having a little holiday before mounting this squad refresh? It is a little frustrating to have such little activity. The only player we seem to be linked to is Charles de Ketelaere and I cant see him entertaining us with no European football. The window is open well into the new season but other clubs seem to have identified who they want and are getting them, while we appear to be doing nothing.

I think we're waiting for the new shirts to do any announcements
Either that or the fax machine is broken again

He was easily one of - if not the - best championship players last year.

Praet is a weird one - I accept he won’t stay but I’d love to know what happened as it seems like staying is a no-brainer for both parties as he could go straight in for Tielemans and be a regular starter and not actually cost us any money!

I fully agree about Praet. He’s always looked classy when he’s played and is capable of doing a job for us. Funny how some managers either don’t see it or just don’t want to see it. I can see him being another Kramaric if we let him go.
