It is understood that Leicester's board have been made aware of Maguire's wishes and that the 26-year-old would welcome the chance to step up to what he regards as a higher level.
Maguire, who is currently on holiday, has been concerned at the prospect of Leicester pricing him out of a move away from the King Power Stadium.

Glad this is still relatively early in the window, likely that they will start to sweat and pay what we want to get it done.

Its not like we need to replace him as we did it last summer, so no need for us to rush out and haveto pay over-priced fees last minute for a defender.

May also leave enough in the coffers for a cracking RW, that Mahrez guy at Man City doesn't look too bad, can't seem to get regular football so might be able to get him on the cheap .. :bandit:
 
Hull have a sell on fee no doubt for Maguire which will be somewhere from 10-20%

So we lose small chunk of the fee IF we sell Maguire. So if we charge £100M which is what we want then we end up with around £80M+ which is probably what he is worth in this stupid market

If he wasnt English and had the technical ability of Robert Huth no one would even consider signing him. He is a very good defender. Nothing special to justify breaking the bank
 
I’d LOVE to keep him for a real push next year but tbf swapping him for Soyuncu and paying £40m for a right winger and we’re probably in a better place (and sign Tielemans)

Amartey has signed a new contract recently but doesnt seem to fit in anywhere anymore. I think Choudhury is a better CM then Amartey and with Justin signing Amartey isnt going to get much of a looking in there either

Would be perfect in alongside Evans imo but lets see how he fits into Rodgers plans.

If Maguire is leaving might aswell start a bidding war. Man City owe us about £20M extra for ripping us off with Iheanacho
