A source has told LeicestershireLive Khun Aiyawatt will not sign off any deal unless it is a huge fee, even close to £100 million.

As long as City are satisfied with the fee, Maguire is expected to be allowed to leave and although City have four central defenders already on their books in Wes Morgan, Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu and Filip Benkovic, Brendan Rodgers could move for another central defender with Premier League experience, with Burnley’s James Tarkowski and Brighton and Hove Albion’s Lewis Dunk both strongly linked.

As it stands there is only us interested in doing a deal
 
Monaco are playing a dangerous game now. No one other then us is interested at that price tag. We wont wait around forever so if we pull out they could be left with no one interested or having to lower the asking price to get people bidding

Think our hand is definitely strengthening, especially if they get a replacement midfielder they like (Silva) and money in the bank
 
Our deal makes the most sense to them at this point, no need for Monaco to find a replacement.

I guess its just going to take time as ours is the most convenient and they are probing around to see if they can find a club that will pay ~£15m more than we are willing to pay, which they wont.

2 years ago they could had Maguire for £17M. Now will cost anywhere from £80-100M and talk of £350K a week wages

Since Fergie left the whole club on and off the pitch is a joke.
 
But I love their fans. We will just take places like Harry Maguire, Wilfred Ndidi, James Maddison, Declan Rice, Aaron Wan Bissaka, Issa Diop etc and just pay pittance for them

Were Man U and they will be desperate to join

10 years ago Man U could cherry pick players from anyone outside the top 4. Now they cant from anyone in the Prem as everyone has a few quid. Even the clubs they havent got money to spend dont need to sell to survive anymore

While yes thats probably his true value but with the mad inflations of today £80-90M is his value
 
In the same article in The Star the fee is reported as £65 million. Our valuation was £80 million. Have we added Slimani into the deal?
 
Iverson and Pascanu doing well in the Euros is interesting. Difficult to know the standard as Iverson was at Oldham last season but maybe he has a future with us. Could do with a loan at a level or so up.
Pascanu I’ve never really seen much about but is getting praised and Romania are doing well. Outshone Benkovic in their game and they soundly beat England laidened with big names. I wonder if whether than buying new defenders we could give a chance to the likes of Pascanu, Johnson and Knight
