Was Tielemans not on a similar amount at Monaco though? I thought he was one of their better paid players.
Tielemans is apparently is on around £50k p/w - Silva is on £80k p/w.

Is no where near the highest earner at Monaco who is Falcao on around £170k.

We are linked with 27yo Norwegian RB Omar Elabdellaoui - apparently Rodgers has been after him when he was Celtic boss and is available for around £4.5m.

Man City being linked with a £90M move for Harry Maguire

Then says we will go after James Tarkowski as a replacement

Sounds bs to me. We could see Maguire and we wouldnt need to buy anyone with Benkovic coming back and I cant see City paying £90M

But if they do want him its £60M and Mahrez

Why the obsession with Mahrez! If they are willing to pay £90mill, take it in cash and invest it. Mahrez has his time here, I could not see it working well if he came back

Shinji Okazaki has said he has never been satisfied with his role here. Not even during the title win. He said he wants to play as a striker not as a “second midfielder”

When he leaves he wants to play as a striker again

While I understand his points but at the same time his goal return has always been crap so what does he expect?

Apparently has played 51 times as a #9 for us - scoring 3 goals...

He is linked with Celtic - that level would be a good swansong for him.

On the Okazaki one. Vichai always said he wanted an asian player in the team. Before Shinji we had Yuki Abe

Maybe we will look for an asian player in the summer. If we do more then likely they will be Japanese again as they have some decent players and some stood out at the world cup

Apparently Okazaki was a Walsh signing who has been following him for a good while - the reason why we ended up relatively spending so much to land him was because like you said Vichai always said he wanted an Asian player and we pretty much just paid what Mainz wanted without negotiating.

We have reportedly Thailand's best player - GK Kawin Thamsatchanan aka Tong - at OH Leuven waiting to be eligible for a work permit.

We were linked with Shinji Kagawa at the beginning of the season - wonder if we will reignite that as he would bring the experience that we would lose with Okazaki leaving and can play anywhere up front.

Vichai said himself he dont think we will ever sign a Thai player due to both work permit issues and the fact none are good enough

Quite a few of the Japan squad had good world cups and might be more sensibly priced then a year ago if we are tracking any

Will be 2 more years before he would be eligible for Belgian residency and by then we could finally be out of Europe so would be a moot point.

Fifa world rankings effects players when it comes to getting a work permit aswell

Brexit muddies the water even further

Vichai used us to get a Thai academy as he knew that was the only way around it. Might develop a superstar and that way would get around the work permit if he gain citizenship

Rumours are growing by the day about clubs becoming interested in Youri Tielemans. I just hope he loves it here and we sell Rodgers vision to him and how important he will be

Tielemans is 21. 2-3 years here and then he will be ready for his big move when he will play every week

Not having the option on the loan was why I didnt like us signing Tielemans as I knew this would happen

Man City look to have ended their pursuit of Chilwell for the next window at least - they wanted him to replace Mendy but they have decided to give him one more chance to stay fit.

On the inverse side Monaco don't have a option for Silva and he is attracting interest from other teams - puts us in the driving seat as they are desperate to keep him as we are with Tielemans.

A fly in the ointment is Tielemans is apparently a Man Utd fan and they are one of the interested teams.

We have to keep Silva as bait. If we dont get Tielemans they dont get Silva

Me personally wouldnt mind seeing what Rodgers can do with Silva. But much rather sign Tielemans

I don’t think they were willing to do it

We are linked with Isaac Hayden from Newcastle - would be a good replacement for the very likely departing Mendy.

Arsenal are linked with Maguire but only if they finish in the top 4 otherwise they won't be anywhere near our asking price.

Kasper has signed a new deal until 2023 - that is a good way to refute his father's words that he wants to leave.

Real Betis want £17M for Victor Camarasa - can't say that I've seen much of him but isn't unreasonable for a creative CM.
