Ugh. Not sure how HE fits our model. About to be 29. Not exactly the model of peak physical fitness who avoids injury. Why on earth would we throw big money at that? Bizarre choice. He'll also get red cards all the time as soon as his shirt changes from black/white to red.

I think he's an excellent player, but he's 29 later this year and he's also NUFC's captain. I can't see them letting both Tonali AND Guimaraes leave, as that would leave the fanbase in utter meltdown. I also think we should be looking at players in a younger mould. The Bruno G ship has sailed in my opinion. We should have got him when we were first linked in 2020 or in Jan 2022 when Newcastle signed him. He'd have been perfect for us then. Don't see this happening now.
Fabrizio just now reporting that we had a £55m offer rejected - surely, the club were aware that a bid like that was never going to be accepted?
Apparently we're going in with another bid soon - not sure what the gameplay is here? I don't see this happening at all. Tonali is the more likely of the two to leave and Bruno G won't be leaving if that happens. Hopefully it's all just a ruse for someone different.
