Show me an agent who doesn't do that. Whilst I recognise that players need them as a go-between, they seem to wield too much power as well as being greedy & grasping.
I was being sarcastic. I know that agents have too much power and are greedy. The problem preventing Rennes from signing Asprilla appears to be the greed of his agent. I think that it is Jonathan Herreira who has been encouraging Aspriila to leave Watford and touting him around various clubs. Asprilla has great potential, but is not yet the finished article and might be better served by staying for another season at Watford. He still has two years remaining on his contract despite all the mistaken claims on various websites (including Transfermarkt) that he is in his final year. http://sportwitness.co.uk/club-hoping-watford-players-agent-comes-senses-drops-large-demands/
from a French twitter account. Rennes has not said its last word for Yasser Asprilla file on standby but Rennes still hopes that the agent will come to his senses and be more reasonable Rennes offered 28M € + bonus to Watford this weekend and a net annual salary of more than 1.2M € to the player
Surly if Asprilla wants to go to Rennes and Watford are happy that is the best move for him and are happy with the transfer figure he should just stay to his agent Go do one and I will get a bigger signing on fee
That is exactly what was reported by Sport Witness (from the twitter account of FootMercato journalist Sebastien Denis) in the link which I posted at 12.21 today. It would appear to be a good deal for both Watford and Asprilla, but the problem seems to be his agent. http://sportwitness.co.uk/club-hoping-watford-players-agent-comes-senses-drops-large-demands/
Maybe so, but I'd be very surprised if a player's contract included a clause that said he must comply with his agent's wishes. I've never read one, but I would have thought it would be something similar to a client/lawyer relationship in that the client gives the lawyer instructions?
The Joe Taylor from Luton rumour appears to be dead in the water - he's apparently going on loan to Huddersfield.
Cleverley said on 3CR: CB nearly done. 2 Prem league loans in by end of Window, 1 of those being a 9.
You are probably correct. I misinterpreted your original post to mean that he could sack his agent. I don't think that that would be so simple
No idea who. Interview here : https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footbal...7Go3aljesjAFEyiHZM_aem_yF7PVPuD0LYHO3SSySvQUA
Free from injury and off to Greece ? Potentially permanently maybe . https://x.com/PSierraR/status/1821676627287548363
Cleverley has described moves for a new No.9 and defender as “really close”, and also confirmed that the futures of Jorge Hurtado, Joao Ferreira and Samuel Kalu lie elsewhere – either on loan or permanently.
