    Very good record at Championship level but rubbish in the Premier league so have to be a loan move surely rather than anything permanent .

    32 as well so hardly a long term option .

    Trying to save money - not waste it !

    They are either injured or left for good reason.

    Are most of them over 27 too?

    A section of fans would never take to them as “it’s too old”

    God forbid the reaction if we do sign someone of that age or older ..

    Watford are keen on out-of-contract Derby County captain Tom Lawrence. A host of other Championship clubs are also interested in the Welsh Midfielder.

    Watford are interested in signing Wigan striker Will Keane. He was the top scorer in League One with 26 goals last season & is valued at £1million. The striker has one year left on his contract. QPR & Sheffield United are also interested.

    Have we entered the silly season for transfer rumours? Watford will be left with no senior goalkeepers apart from Elliot, with none of the senior strikers, without a number of defenders including both first choice fullbacks/wingbacks as well as a first choice central defender and some important midfielders if all the rumours are to be believed. I have no idea why the bookies think Watford are the favourites to win the Championship title if that is the case.
