I think that you meant Suarez and not Sanchez, but I agree with your comments. I can see no reason why Watford would agree to loan Suarez to Valencia unless Gino is planning to stay in the Championship. Nor does there appear to be any benefit from loaning Capoue when he will be 33 at the end of the loan and have only one year left on his contract. The reports have mentioned that Valencia are looking for cheap options!

I surely did mean Suarez - I even wondered as I typed it...

Sounds like Everton may have missed out on Doucoure with their dithering over the fee - Monaco have put in a higher bid

Yes go to Monaco and tell Everton that Monaco is a bigger more ambitious club who take part in the Euro Cup Competitions

There are some very interesting deals for players who go to Monaco, something that exercises the French football authorities as well as the taxman from time to time.

And he can go back home rather than have to live in Liverpool!

We have no idea just what the players earn or what their contracts say. Is there a reduction in earnings if they are relegated? Do they have a release clause if another club offers X amount? The club have played many things close to their chests and they seem to be very good at managing the news. The only time we the fans learn anything is when the club choose to tell after an event has happened.

Edu Tamarit suggests in his tweet that Watford can not afford to pay Capoue's wages due to relegation. Will Valencia be paying Capoue - if he signs for them - using a promissory IOU note (with an expiry date of September 2021) instead of paying his wages as the club has done with other members of the squad? Quite possibly more Twitter rubbish, but we shall just have to wait and see what happens.

Watford are close to completing the signing of striker Stipe Perica from Udinese.

The 25-year-old Croatian is already in London, the Watford Observer has been told and sources close to the fellow Pozzo-owned club expect the move to be confirmed soon.

Not what you would call a prolific goalscorer - to be signed as a backup I suspect, but his track record suggests we already have better.

I really hope this doesn't mean the TD to Newcastle rumour is true...

    Or West Brom.

Sounds like a target man type striker.

Everton are apparently closing in on Doucoure - we are hoping to loan either Anthony Gordon, 19 year old midfielder, or Jarrad Branthwaite, 18 year old centre back as part of the deal.

Leeds have signed Rodrigo for 26m from Valencia so they now have a bit of money to spend I guess they will tie up the Capoue deal.

    Surely not?

I mean did well but was inconsistent and well he didn't earn a great reptuation from the opposition for some of his actions.

I loved his flair.. And when I first saw him Huddersfield away.. It really signalled the class the nrw owners were bringing in.. Inconsistent at Sheffield though and injured a lot..
But in his day.. Better than Wooter!

Never to be forgotten for his part in this...

Almunia saves....now here come Watford...Forestieri....here's Hogg.....DEENEY.....DO NOT SCRATCH YOUR EYES...

Sadly, if he does come back, it's looking like he'll be the only left of the five involved in that move.
