Still hoping for a couple of decent under the radar signings. I won't hold my breath mind.

Is Dawson enough to allow WFC to push on? I guess it also depends on the impact of João Pedro in January too, if he comes...

Dele-Bashiru ain't going to be a starter, is he? We are pretty strong in mid-field (for Watford like)

Anyways, what do you lot reckon? Good summer signings? Just what the doctor ordered?

One more first 11 signing would be great. Otherwise, mid-table mediocrity awaits at best again and maybe a Cup run if we are lucky. Hopefully, there will be 3-5 ****ter teams than us, guess the owners must be thinking the same too. Sometimes I think the Championship was more exciting for us, however, it is great to be in the Prem.

Its very hard for kids to progress to the 1st team but it would be nice to see one or two come thought like Ben Wilmot

Well they must think they have enough defenders having sent Wilmot out on loan.
Definitely looking for a winger to come in and sell Lukabiaki to Lille or Hertha for 20m + to pay for him.
    Other than that, very quiet.

  11. Doesn't our window shut before Europe's? That's my big worry as it would still leave us vulnerable on Doucoure and Delafeou with no chance of bringing in replacements.

I think it does but presume we won't sell them now unless the offer is really silly and cannot be turned down.

This Sarr had better be good if we do get him after the long protracted time its taken...

Seems the clubs cannot agree a fee....we don't rate him as highly as they do?

I would say it is the structure of the fee plus also depends on the Lukabiaki money and how that is structured also. All about keeping the books balanced.

Everyone is thinking that Sarr will improve us so id like to see us pay the extra 2 or 3m than risk us not having as good a season as last year

That's interesting but with Wilmot already gone and only very young CB cover I can't see this happening without an offer north of 20m

And would leave us light on central defenders as you say.

Everyone seems to hate Mariappa but clearly Gracia likes him.

Mariappa was our best defender for quite a few games last season
If he was 4 or 5 inches taller and a yard or two faster he would be in the same bracket as Maguire (probably better)

    And a few years younger.....

But he does a job I think.

    No worse than others.
