Who would he slay after all if he did! I reckon money would talk, and whether he wanted to return to Portugal. If it was a choice of there or Turkey, I wouldn’t care if I was crossing a divide!!
Ross Barkley moves to Chelsea creating more competition for places in midfield. I wonder whether Drinkwater is starting to regret his summer move? Is it worth playing one game in four for a bit more cash? Surely playing regularly is better for your sanity. If ever Conte moves on and another foreign manager pitches up, who’ll probably bring in more players, he’ll be lost in the system altogether!
Bakayoko looks dreadful and I genuinely think he will turn into a starter next to Kante. From what I’ve seen he offers them so much more
Yes, Bakayoko has started slowly for them, but he might argue he needs more game time to adapt. Drinkwaters international career won't flourish without regular football either.
It definitely would have before as being a reserve for a big club would get you in ahead of those playing out their skin for clubs like ours. See Wilshire who played 90 minutes of football all season before the euros and got picked ahead of Drinkwater who had the season of his life, had a winners medal and was full of confidence. We didn’t need world class players to break down Iceland, we needed players like Drinkwater and Albrighton who could match them up. We took half the Spurs team who’s confidence was shot, missed a trick. Seems that Southgate might have changed that though
According to Sky Liverpool arent interested in Mahrez and we now want more then £50M for him The sun has linked Man City with a £50M move for Harry Maguire
Goals since August 2015: R. Mahrez (30) P. Coutinho (28) E. Hazard (26) Assists since August 2015: R. Mahrez (21) P. Coutinho (18) E. Hazard (10)
I don’t understand them. They seriously think he is an average player and that his value should be less because he plays for Leicester and yet they wasted £75mill on VVD. I put the following points to skylarker to say why we shouldn’t accept less for Mahrez Attacking players go for more as they are game changers He has a PFA POTY award that VVD doesn’t He is coming from a more successful club with more money than Southampton He has shown he can lead a lower side to a league title than VVD hasn’t Sky’s arguement that VVD is good business but Mahrez is worth peanuts...because Liverpool needed VVD more. As though how much they need him sets his transfer value deluded lot
The media had Ndidi moving to Man Utd etc last summer after half a season (re Maguire). How often does a player seriously leave only half a season after being at a club. Maybe if they are crap and the club wants rid but not if they’re doing well. Fake news
Shouldn't take Sky seriously John ... if he really did believe half the things he posts he'd just be a twat. He still has some angst about us winning a title that the Scousers haven't won for the entire existence of the Premier League (and whilst United have been racking up multiples)... that must rankle given where Liverpool used to be as a club. There is also a lot of inherent snobbery in football ... if Rashford, Mane, Martial etc played for us then the armchairs and the plastics would view them in exactly the same way as they do Mahrez. But the facts don't lie ... Mahrez was a huge part of enabling a smaller club to become one of the elite 6 ... Coutinho, Suarez and Gerrard couldn't manage that at a much bigger club... that makes Mahrez's achievements even more amazing ... but also means there is a lot of resentment.
According to Daily Mail, Liverpool have told us that they are not after Mahrez as they already signed a replacement in Keita last summer http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ant-bring-forward-57m-Naby-Keita-signing.html Puel wants to keep Slimani but is not convinced by Ihneacho who could be the one to leave on loan. Man City are sniffinf around Maguire if they can't get Jonny Evans.
We are linked with Rafa Silva, a left winger from Benfica on loan for the rest of the season and £26.5M in the summer.
Villa are after Ulloa and Amartey on loan - can't see it happening as Amartey is our only fit RB and Ulloa is wanted by Leganes, Real Betis and Celta Vigo. Southampton are after Ihneacho and are willing to pay the bulk of the £25M we originally paid for him.
... thought Man City had a first refusal option on Iheanacho? ... I'd be willing to do a swap for Kevin de Bruyne if they are desperate to get him back ...
He needs to start showing a lot more mind ... he pussied out of a challenge just having come on against Fleetwood which nearly led to them scoring
