Yeah and I wonder how many of them have heard of Everton? Not very many if they're from overseas I'm sure. Hope you're having a good time
Christian Benteke had never heard of Aston Villa when he signed for them ... and had no idea that they were based in Birmingham ... Villa are former European Cup winners ffs ... ...I'm afraid that the reality is that the 'type of player' that signs for just about any club these days is more likely to be motivated primarily by money than anything else ... accept that and don't get too attached is my motto ...
Anyway back on topic: Gray has had a meeting with Shakespeare about his role in the upcoming season with Spurs, Liverpool and Newcastle circling. Main reason for the meeting is because Arsenal are doing their usual trick of lowballing a figure to get Mahrez - chances are he might still be here when the window closes. Zeiler hasn't asked for a move and isn't officially up for a transfer - there are German clubs that are interested but won't act as he is on big wages. Apparently we are willing to offer £29M for Iheanacho to get a better deal on the buyback clause. And finally, we look to have given up on Sigurdsson and look like to be concentrating on signing Deeney and are going to up the bid to £25M.
One thing that strikes me ... potentially we have frightening aerial capability now ..let's just for one minute imagine we play a back 3 with wing backs ... we win a corner ... Huth, Morgan, Maguire, Iborra, Ndidi and Slimani make their way into the opposition's penalty area ...
Something that really pissed me off about last season is that we never played Ulloa and Slimani together and played the way that the Spurs lot claim we play. Never gave the tabloids their headline and had Christian lobbing crosses at Islam either...
What annoyed me the most was Albrighton rarely being on the pitch at the same time and when he was he was mostly on the left instead of the right where he could whip early balls in for him. He was also mostly used as a no.10 not a no.9 anytime Vardy was playing meaning we completely nullified his strenghths and he subsequently got criticised and judged on being asked to perform a role that isn't suited to him. He plays on the shoulder of the last defender and wants early balls in so when he's on the pitch he's got to be a no.9. We need to stop with the round pegs in square holes and play players to their strengths.
It'd be a waste of time because the corner taker will still fail to get it over the midget marking the front post.
Probably not. It's fantastic, Caribbean sunshine, unending beer & being asked to discuss us winning the premier league. What's not to like
If he ain't good enough for them he ain't good enough for us. I also don't see why we would need him and certainly not for £25m. No thanks.
... love the wishful thinking press ... and rival fans ... Demarai Gray is going absolutely nowhere .. apart from with England ... and as a Leicester City player ... how nice it has such an exciting talent at the club whilst others look forward to Romelu (my second touch is a tackle) Lukaku for £75 million or even worse a midfield trying to accommodate Drive-thru Dwayne Rooney
