I’d take one of Emil Riis from Preston (available on a free), Hardie from Plymouth, Morris from Luton, Promise David from Union SG or Stefan Ingi Sigurðarsson from Sandjeford. Last two would be a gamble obviously so wouldn’t be top of my list, but they are very good players.
If Yates is expected to single handedly fire us to promotion he’d be a **** signing. As a squad player he’d be an excellent addition assuming he doesn’t cost the earth. Any rumours this time of year must be taken with a pinch of salt anyway, none of them will happen.
mate….settle in…..it’s going to be a rough ride….we **** it up every year….why will this year be any different ?
Been upsetting to see that TSF hasn’t got good minutes for Gateshead in the final games. Started out well
Yates would surely be an improvement on what we have, as I can’t see Pedro staying for a second season. Makes sense to me if we can get him in early on, takes the pressure off ending up like we seem to at the end of every summer window, scrambling around
If we go into next season with Joseph as 3rd choice, a proven championship striker as back up (like a Yates) and splash out on a Salech/Hardie etc as 1st choice then we should be very well set. At least with Yates you know what you're getting (a solid, experienced striker at this level)
