I quite like Mowbray but I do think he's past it and I can't imagine his old school ways gelling with our players. I'll be annoyed if Selles is sacked. Unless it were some sort of decision on his part, but the way he's spoken, he vey much intends to still be here.
by all accounts, mowbrays a very very nice man but i dont want him managing hull city, maybe if it was 2015
I don't know if his ways are old school, he got BBD, Armstrong and a couple of the Sunderland lads developed and scoring bucket loads, I just don't see the point of starting again. And then what, he has a **** first five months and we sack him?
I don’t want to swap Selles for Mowbray. If we had sacked a manager because they did a **** job id be interested in Mowbray being our manager. But Selles didn’t do a **** job. In fact I think he did a good job. I’m not convinced Mowbray would have done better with the players we had available.
Brady’s post showing the two halves of the season showed Selles did a good job. If he had’t had bad luck with injuries it could have been even better. No way should he be moved on and we are involved in another summer of chaos. How about letting him identify the players he thinks would improve the team and letting the recruitment team try to get them rather than the other way round?
He had Sunderland playing good football which might appeal to acun, he had a young squad aswell. It’s just not the right time
If Acun is frustrated that his appointments haven't brought expensive attacking football why on earth would he think boring uninpiring charmless Tony Mowbray can deliver it? No thanks.
Until such time as Acun Ilicali comes out and makes a definitive statement of his intentions going forward,we still have the same set up and there's no reason to believe that anyone is going to be moved on.A two bit sports editor making a random statement on a Twitter page and people on this forum are buying into it and getting into a lather about Tony Mowbray coming in... Unbelievable
Yes, but Syd thinks it would be boring if we only discussed facts. As I said, we should keep Selles on and let him identify where we need strengthening. Meanwhile others will spend all summer of speculation.
39 years old Doing well to still be a Rugby League 'Ace' ! (surprised he only plays for an amateur team too!)
