I agree but if the club have caught wind whether it true or completely false, they can't ignore it. Maybe they are already aware of any off pitch antics and that was the reason some were told to be moved on during the break. Who knows.
Yeh all very sad really. If social media was about back then there would have been a lot have never pulled on a shirt. Really strange because back in the day the likes of Ferguson and Whitehurst were praised for filling people in.
The lack of support from full back position in both sides have been a major part of how toothless our attack has been. Both sides sorely need a massive upgrade. And it’s not a good thing for your club captain to be sitting out the side. Coyle has just had a really poor season too, at fault for conceding so many good chances and goals. He needs replacing on the pitch, no two ways about it. Not doing so would be madness. Might as well just stick with the current squad as it is if that’s the attitude we’re going to have.
But he gets more abuse for playing every game and putting a shift in. Then look at Giles can’t hardly be arsed too lift a leg and he’s on 3/4 times the wages Coyle will be on. Fans love to single out someone, Coyle the latest victim.
I’m not singling him out, he’s just not good enough. Neither is Giles. Maybe and hopefully a fresh start in the new season with solid competition for both places will bring improved performances out of both players. And criticising his effort is just a load of ****, he’s clearly putting in the effort, he’s just not been up to it. Same with Giles. Being **** doesn’t equal lack of effort.
Yes but If my employer investigated whether I was on coke or not every time someone who didn’t like my performance at work spread a rumour on Twitter I’d be pretty annoyed.
I'd love to see a compilation of the goals/shots he's conceded, versus the chances he's negated. One video would be considerably shorter than the other.
I know nothing of this so called incident and have seen nothing on social media, perhaps because I'm not on it. But it doesn't surprise me. Not that I'm saying Lewie Coyle is a loose canon by any stretch of the imagination. I have met Lewie socially and his brother Tommy and I have a lot of time for both of them. Lewie especially and the work he does with his soccer schools and if he is good enough to get picked for Hull City, week in week out, then he has my admiration, because it's something I could only dream of doing but never achieved, besides, I like the fella. But City players getting abuse in the city centre is nothing new, if fact City supporters get it too, maybe not so much these days but I remember well when you had to wear a gum shield if you supported your local club before a trip into town on a Saturday night. There are a lot of pricks out there, in the old days when City were in the lower leagues the biggest gobs were the local lads who played a bit but never made it with any professional club and any local lad who actually played for City was spot ball. Mention no names but I remember meeting one City player, big lad too, ( this is going back some) local lad who was reduced to tears from the dogs abuse he got one night in town. Maybe some of you younger ones don't remember Frankie Bunn, our leading scorer at the time and a fine player getting his jaw broken one night in Waterfront Club. It was said Billy Whitehurst had to go round and sort that one out, don't know if that actually happened but the broken jaw certainly did. It's bad enough showing your face and colours sometimes in this city in certain pubs and any face that actually plays for the local club is going to attract attention if they want it or not. It happens everywhere, in every city. In the Premier League days City players used to go to Leeds for a night out, except Bullard apparently. And the those hinting that sniff might be involved are totally out of order.
Or maybe it's just because the squad is too big, Selles has said he wants a smaller squad, and on top of that we need to bring new players in so some more have to leave. Or maybe they haven't been told at all (bar fringe players who weren't really involved). All FAR more likely than the **** that's being spread by some so called supporters (or are they).
If any face was snorting coke in the city centre don't you think in these days of mobile phones and every man and his dog having a camera that someone wouldn't have taken a snap of them doing it by now?
If Coyle gets charged by the police, then the club has a decision to make. If not, then it's something that needs a quiet word about thinking twice next time. It's post season, if he wants to get rat-arsed then that's his decision. I don't like seeing players (or anyone else) getting into drunken fights, but it's not a hanging offence. If anyone disagrees with this, outside, now.
https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-city-head-coach-ruben-10154738 But but but ... I thought it was FACT that it was all decided, players had been told weeks ago, blah ****ing blah. I called BS at the time. It was BS. Why the **** do people **** stir and undermine the club they supposedly support? "decisions still need to be taken with Selles, head of recruitment Martin Hodge and sporting director Jared Dublin". ".... we need to sit and discuss what we want, not only for Joao, but for everyone. He has given us everything," Selles told Hull Live "We need to know what he wants to do and we need to know where we want to go, so I think it's too early right now to give you a proper answer for that."
Minor skirmish Seems bizarre to me that someone on what looks like a bus is filming just as it comes around the corner . Seen more pushing in the penalty box at a corner. Nothing to see here …move along.
