Just driven into hull and up ahead on the beverley bypass was a transit type van with KDB signage on the back and sides. He's coming, and Chazz is the top ITKer.
16th June until 1st September. There is an earlier short window for PL teams….something to do with a world club challenge. Must be something to do with money as According to some the season is too long and the players get fatigued and injured.
He strikes a ball though. We have too many skillful players who achieve nothing because they don't do anything with conviction. Simons has a proper shot on him. In half a season with us his two goals were more than Alzate, Puerta, Slater, Lincoln or Zambrano managed all season. We need more players like him and Crooks who achieve decisive outcomes rather than just being skillful on paper.
Its likely he’s improved a bit at Wycombe playing every week. Assuming we’re signing Zambrano it would make sense to keep him as back-up, as well as signing another defensive mid. If he takes his chance he could be a decent asset in the squad and if not, Zambrano should be fully fit by Jan and allow Simons to leave
It always seem easy when discussing getting rid and bringing in players, some will naturally leave after contracts terminate, some will even have suitors, but by and large the ones we want rid of signed on decent contracts are fkn difficult to shift on. I suspect we'll have another scenario were we need to move a few on before we can do business. Then, and only then, will we see what our potential war chest will be and who we can afford to bring in. Bare minimum for me would be 2 decent full backs, and a centre forward, but we won't be shopping in M&S, more like Lidls !
I see that Liverpool and Newcastle have shown interest in Jarrod Bowen. Do we have a sell on clause...?
just a guess…but I would be amazed if we didn’t, will only be low….but 3-5% of 50mill+ would be significant for us edit - I think he will end up at spurs (the hull city of London!) he has strong ties down south now & wouldn’t need to move very far
Can't be stressed enough this, take any team in the world, Liverpool for e.g. and take Salah out the team from October, Diaz from November then Gakpo and Gravenberch from January and there's no way on earth they're winning the league, they'd prob not even make the top 4. ACL injuries are something you cannot account for or really protect against and they crippled us this season. Staying up has been massive, mainly because at some point we'll get Millar, Belloumi and Matazo back, 3 players who have the potential to make a lower mid table team an upper mid - play off level team
Prob more that he's in demand at a higher level, and as a free transfer will represent pure profit - in an area where if we do sign Zambrano we have a fair amount of depth. He's also flattered to deceive in my view, lots of v pretty stuff but almost exclusively around the half way line and in our half, little impact around the oppo box
Well known that astrology is an absolute load of bollocks. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Losing Alzate (which I think is likely), selling Simons and Zambrano not being available until November means we need someone of quality to play in that deeper midfield role because it’s not Slater or Puerta. Ideally, it’s someone on a permanent deal who offers a mix of steel and protection to the back four as well as technical ability in setting the tempo. It’s not even a given that we will sign Zambrano as, unlike Puerta, it’s an expense we’re not forced to make.
I always got the feeling him signing for us in September was because he wanted to be playing football, not because he wanted to be a Hull City player for the foreseeable future. After leaving Brighton, he and his agent were probably waiting for an offer from a club bigger than City but it didn’t materialise and he wanted to be playing regular football. Use us as a stepping stone, basically. If we can get good money for him it’s a positive for both parties. He’s a Spanish-speaker from London. If there’s interest from La Liga clubs then he won’t be staying here. Valencia would be a great move for him playing under Coberán if they don’t sign Barrenechea permanently.
