Yes. If we go down it could be a long time before we get back to the Championship. Wouldn’t be too bad if the fans stuck with us like a couple of other clubs who went down to League1 whose crowds went up but they won’t. Looking at how things have been handled I would not be too confident that there are relegation clauses.
We're talking about entirely different things. You keep shifting the goalposts to protect yourself from actually having to admit to not having a clue. Referring to Belloumi and Millar as 'liabilities' for instance is just wrong. Of course having to sell players to cut costs impacts an ability to compete, but at L1 you don't need to keep your top line players in the same way relegated PL clubs don't have to keep their top line players to compete but instead sell them to cut costs. You keep talking about 'losses' you're talking about accounting profit or loss. We spend cash on players, we sell them for cash if need be. If we're in a league with no PSR the accounting loss is irrelevant when it comes to financing the wage bill and the day to day running of the club. You started with some bed wetting around running out of cash and now are talking about our ability to compete. Pick a lane.
Er, yes. If you have income and then remove expenses, guess what, you're left with more of that income in your pocket than you would have done. That's pretty basic..
You could be reading out of a textbook pal. Anyone who's been around city long enough knows the practical implications of how this could pan out. lets see if our assets can match our liabilities after 2:30 on sat.
No, we're left with still not enough to pay the bank. Millar, Belloumi, Matazo are liabilities because we can't service their contracts in league 1, and they're damaged goods at the moment, not likely to contribute well into next season. Their net value for the forseeable isn't going offset the fee and wages, so it's lose lose. Might well have to pay a proportion of wages to shift them too. We're doing it already with some.
What are their contracts? Sounds like you've got copies of them so what are their wages in League 1 out of interest? You can throw around as many terms as you want to sound like you know what you're talking about but you're just guessing.
A more informed 'guess' than yours. Corroborated by other significantly more informed ones than yours. Saturdays result could easily define the prospects of this football club for the next decade.
Great so what are their contracts in the event we get relegated? How much is our wage bill if we get relegated? If you've got the number in pounds please let me know, I'm all ears. If you're going off innuendo and hearsay then admit as much and keep your sheets dry.
Goodnight Syd. Remember to bandage those hands well from the clutching at straws burns. Just let's both hope we win on sat.
Should just rename it the 'How ****ed are we?/Castro shouting out random dictators names" thread and start a new one.
Oh the answer is going to hit you like you clearly wouldn't believe sunna. Mark my words. We're not in a good place either way, but relegation puts the long term future of the club at risk. But hey, you've probably got a Bachelor's and some form of mild ASD, so who am I to tell you different?
We can't service the debt sustainably as it is, and in league one that problem becomes far more acute by an order of magnitude.
Editing this to throw in a rather insulting comment about my mental state is pretty pathetic I must say. Don't know why I ever bother taking you off ignore when after half a dozen posts you just can't help yourself.
Only cutns have people on ignore. But in this case you'd be doing me a favour. Some folk don't post stuff now cos of you. But keep going the way you are. Sooner or later you'll be down to zero UK views. Maybe the mild ASD thing was being empathetic on my part. Maybe you're just a twat with a Bachelors? 2:1 at best though.
