I think the club is hoping to get the restrictions reduced to maybe a 1 or 2 window ban... that would make signing players this window, on loan with an obligation to buy next summer a lot easier and very doable. It all depends on what happens at the appeal of course..
So we signed Joseph with an injury, which he's played with all last season? Bit like Giles the season before. Hopefully he'll now kick on or we'll be loaning him back to Blackpool in January.
Brabin was for a fee I think, as was Allcide but Jason Perry was a free from Cardiff I think. We spent a fair bit of cash, for us, in that season but probably recouped it all by selling Andy Oakes. We seemed to be a ****load in that first Pearson season too.
It was reported about a month ago that we wanted him and Acun was trying to arrange for his contract at Trabzonspor to be terminated by mutual consent. This well before the transfer fee restriction and this bullshit came to light.
EXCLUSIVE - Hull City, working to lift the transfer ban, has officially contacted Lundstram. Lundstram is open to a transfer if the ban is lifted. Due to Lundstram's salary, the likelihood of the transfer happening is not very high. But Hull City is exploring ways to transfer Lundstram.
Coyle's just had a fairly poor season to be fair, and he's not alone in that. Previously I'd have suggested playing Drameh in games where we should be looking to attack more, and Coyle in games where we're likely to be defending more - but now I'd probably give Drameh a run and then ideally it'll be his position to lose, performance dependant. It works both ways with Coyle though, you're right. I think he hampers us a lot going forwards personally, and this season just gone I've never seen him lose his man so much on the defensive side either - tonnes of crosses and runs coming in from his side, but then some people would blame Kamara for it and would vote him as player of the season regardless, because at the end of the day he's essentially 'Mr Hull City' - and that isn't a negative thing.
I think what Acun has done, or rumoured to have done, in Turkey with dodgy dealings means he probably beleives he can do something shady to bring Lundstram in. I just don't want this association with 'naughtiness' to linger over the club
I'd also give him the benefit of the doubt because we saw most of him under Walter's mental tactics and he was playing left back. Under Selles he only started 5 games at right back.
