No way they want Alzate. They are quite stacked in that position. Seems rubbish to me.

I didn't say "get' Players, I said it would cover two of the existing we have and take the sting out of our wage bill with a 5th choice player leaving.

There are also not as many 5k players in league one as there are 2k a week. Barnsley pretty much have a salary cap on their players, Jon Flatman runs a very tight wage structure.

Sorry but you're talking complete bollocks.

Barnsley's wage bill was £11m in their last accounts in L1. 20 players on £5k a week costs £5.25m and while the wage bill includes non playing staff too, they've clearly got players on more than £5k a week and they aren't big spenders in L1.

If a bid comes in for Hughes, or anyone for that matter, we will sell.
If the previous owners were running the club in such a shambolic manner as this lot are, we would already be rioting in the streets.

From a horses mouth "ha ha, there are over 70 football players and staff in the first team and academy alone pal. Add into that non-football staff and casuals"

Not sure you're 11 mil can be divided between 20 players. Try dividing the 200k a week by about 100 people.

Before I got a reply a quick look at salary sport has the football bill at 7mil (137k a week) across 61 players. Nowhere near 11 mil for 20 players.

Didn’t we pay £7m for Hughes?

Everyone has their price including Hughes but I would imagine it would have to be pretty big.

No idea ? haven't I? Like you have no idea or proof that it isn't true. Transfer embargo for the the next three transfer windows, just avoided relegation on goal difference, lowest goal scorers in the division......so we let our leading goal scorer leave, and still haven't replaced him......
There is faith and there is blind faith. This lot are taking the piss out of us. If a decent bid comes in for any player what tells you that this lot will not accept it? As it stands right now we cannot be trusted by the FL to pay our bills, despite all the blustering talk there is no evidence that this lot have a pot to piss in right now.
As for '****ting my kegs' I've seen these situations before at City, several times, and believe me, it never ends well.
I just hope to God they prove me wrong.

Absolute ****ing nonsense, no way Hughes is going anywhere, no one will bid 15-20 million until next year when he will be worth that, truly the best player we have…..

    Yep...

I'm totally confused now as to why our wage bill went from £8.6 million when the Turk took over and just happened to climb up to £27.4 million in 24/25(218.6% increas)?.Yet some on here would have us believe some of our regulars are on absolute buttons(as little as £4k a week)?

If,(and it's a huge big if),if Mcburnie rocked up here and got £40-£45k a week thrown at him there'd be a full on riot by the ones 'ALLEGEDLY' earning '£4k' and rightly so!!

For what it's worth,I think the wage bill will be on the decrease last season (and this)because the penny has finally dropped with laughing boy that he's running up an uncontrollable debt, throwing money at mates..

As for the Sheff Utd story, most likely a load of bollox but anyone thinking that he(Illicali) would fight tooth and nail to keep the lad, is deluded...He'd sell his ****ing Granny!!
