We need at least two strikers. If we put all our eggs in the McBurnie basket with our injury record, we’re just asking for the exact same problem as last season. Frigan would work fine.

Which will be that our main strike force will consist of Burstow and Joseph. I have no problem with either of those two playing alongside Frigan or OmB, but not those two as all we have left. I’d be working on converting Burstow to a winger over the Summer.

Well thats always levied against him, but in his cameos for City last season I saw litttle evidence of that.

Cameos by definition, you see very little of anything.

Seriously though, when Jakirovic opens his press conference with "we need more pace and power in midfield" is Harry Vaughan really the one who springs to mind?

Given that Belloumi and Millar won't be playing til after the Sep International break, and we likely only have free transfers to work with, I wouldn't be surprised to see Vaughan get some pitch time to start the season. He must be the only fit winger we have on the books currently

I agree. We either give him a chance or let him move on!

In days gone by when we never had a pot to p!ss in (and we weren't running around desperately trying to increase our debt like nowadays),kids like him would be given a chance because we had to play them.If he's any good he'll strengthen up and flourish.

We need to go back to basics at this Club, remember who we are and start bringing the young uns through and mix them with some experience and nous, instead of buying £4 & £5 million flops and talking about €9 million players and massive wage demanders(Mcburnie)...

No wonder we're in the sh!t....

Would be if he hadn’t doubled his demands now he knows free transfers are our only option…

*obviously I’ve no idea if he has…but I would

Within recent times we’ve brought through the best young talent this club ever has Bowen/KLP/Greaves, if they are good enough then they end up making it into the first team.

Cor, I'd take him in a heartbeat. Streets ahead of any striker we've had in a long while, goal return at Shef U is admittedly poor, but around half his appearances were in the prem which is above his level, decent at Swansea tho and certainly a Champ level striker

edit - comment about streets ahead of any striker referring to perm signings not loan signings!
