Rosenior didn't buy ally. Lokilo was 25, hardly a kid. The only kid who seemingly didn't get as much of a look as possibly he should have was simons. Every other kid - Philogene, Morton, delap, carvalho - maybe with the exception of twine, did well. Issue was as you say they were all essentially loans.
I have no reason to be optimistic, other than the fact that I have many reasons to be pessimistic. It's funny how often they are just two sides of the same coin.
I'm actually a bit surprised at the pessimism. As fryatt was pointing out, our squad is in a much better position than twelve months ago already. All this talk of "every day without a signing is a day wasted of training" is a bit alarmist when other than a striker and maybe another winger, the bulk of our starting XI is already in the building. It's a much better position than a lot of clubs.
