That....that was his highlights package? The lil Japanese guy, Mito I think he's called, looked better in that clip reel than he did. In some bits he looks like Delap, direct and intelligent, and the ****ness of team mates isn't his fault (some of those attempts/misses were laughable), but I'm getting PTSD from watching Nick Proschwitz's highlight reel and thinking he looked alright. 10 goals in a mid table team isn't anything to write home about in that division. Japanese guy, definitely would be happy with him. Lauritsen? Eh. I'm not seeing anything there to suggest he'll be anything other than out on loan in Norway come January.
Glad it wasn’t just me thinking that. Took ages to even see him hit the target and even after that it was just slightly below underwhelming!
If we are genuinely looking at this guy I reckon it would be a McBurnie alternative based on that video. Seems to be more of a link up man - lots of lay offs, hold up play. Drifts out to the left in lots of those clips too. Wonder if we're looking to bring in 2 types of forward?
I watched Lauritsen play for Sparta when I went over to Rotterdam earlier this year. He's very good. Would rather him than McBurnie tbh
We definely need to trim the squad and it looks like we could lose; Alzate Simons Jacob Slater McLoughlin or Jones Pedro Drameh Lincoln Sinik Burstow (Loan) Vaughan (Loan) Joseph (Loan?) Possibly as many as 12 out.
The list of players to go would have been composed months ago, at every club. Its not left until a week before the end of the season just in case a player has a good couple of games at the end of the season. Selles and lately Dublin will be directing it. Jacob and Slater have been touted around for a while. Anyone who thinks Acun is suddenly clearing out players between managers is just letting their dislike of the owner play with their common sense.
Simons, Jones, Mcloughlin and Drameh would be good back up players. Joseph could be OK with the right system. The rest of them I wouldn't care if I never saw play in a City shirt again.
The players leaving were told way back during the international break, have a look at city's last 8 games to work out which ones.
I'm not sure about them being told, that's pretty uncommon unless it's a non-renewal of a contract but I'm sure Slater and Jacobs must have known considering they were being offered to clubs so probably some truth in it.
I wish I had your confidence and I do hope you're right Jim but judged on his 3 years to date,I just don't.
