Sometimes it’s better the devil you know. Even at their worst, I don’t think the Allams were as reckless or damaging to City than Acun has been in three years.
Based on yesterday, and a few matches before, unless an OG or pen, I don't see that happening unfortunately.
I'm sorry but I'm not buying into us playing so poorly recently because certain players have been told to find new clubs. First the excuse under Walter was we were so poor because the players downed tools as they didn't like him, now this. With the exception of Pandur not one of the players can say they've had a good consistent season. Let's just face facts we've been a poor team throughout the majority of the season and yesterdays game was pretty much the same standard dreadful home performance we've had throughout the season.
As is your right. Personally, if the choice is between Ehab, dickhead that he is, and Acun, then I pick Ehab every time.
Plenty of times over recent years people on here have made big claims about things that are happening or about to happen and been completely wrong. I hope that's the case again here, particularly regarding Ehab and the desperation to raise funds. Some of the stuff about players being told to leave sounds quite believable though. There is clearly going to be a problem there with the number of players on our books simply not contributing anything. I have absolutely no information, but I would be very surprised if Kasey Palmer wasn't someone that the club have been actively trying to find a taker for. There are other obvious ones too. If Ehab truly did get his hands back on the club that would be a nightmare. The worst thing Acun could do is put us back under the ownership of that creep. As I understand the financial side of it, League 1 wouldn't cause us issues FFP-wise so the only reason we would be desperate for money is if Acun himself is unable to fund the day to day running of the club. I don't think he can just decide he wants his money back, that doesn't tend to be how it works with ownership loans, again as I understand it. My concern with Acun running us in League 1 isn't about his commitment to provide money - he's never let us down in that respect at all - but about his ability to spend it well or to delegate to people who will, where he has consistently failed to date. But either way, we clearly have too many unwanted players on our books and regardless of anything else that is always going to be a problem. We have very few options to offload players on our own terms this summer so even with the best intentions we are going to have to find solutions to get rid of players.
A draw would be a good result. But cue the meltdown on here when we inevitably fail to win. Some people have unrealistic expectations.
No PLT. You just have your tongue far too up Acun's backside. Thank you. Another voice of reason and sense Some of the repeated conjecture, spoken like fact, yet without any credibility based on what's actually happened or been said, has been and continues to be embarrassing, not to mention self sabotaging. I too share your same concern (stated in your post). It's not about somehow pretending all is a sweet smelling bed of roses. Good post.
It really doesn't. Effort & commitment hasnt been the problem. Selles's game plan, tactics and coaching these past few weeks have been.
Crowds of 8000 Vs 24500 yesterday. No concessions Vs my 3 quid a month season tickets for my 2 kids. The harm they were reaping on the longevity of the club cannot be underestimated, they were far worse than Acun.
