We have an option to sign him, but we're obviously trying to negotiate that option price down, due to him not being available until November. I think he's a great player and will turn out to be a great signing, if he'd not had all this **** going on, he'd be heading to a club bigger than ours.
I think your memory's failing you Ernie. In the small handful of games he had he seemed to have that ability to take a pass, turn and move it on quicker and taking a touch fewer than anybody else we had, hate to say it but a bit like Jimmy Bullard on a good day.... Didn't happen that often for the reason you mention above, and his pass might sometimes go a bit astray but it was enough to get me excited
That's exactly what we're doing. Everyone expected the ban to be this season only and he'd be free to join up pre season and play the full season. That's what the agreement was based around and now we are ( quite rightly imo ) trying to get a better deal. But it's a risky gamble as others are showing interest, but willing to wait until Jan.....it's a game of poker ATM
Not willing to wait till Jan, he means by time he comes back to play November and say gets up to speed by Jan it will feel like we have a new player/transfer.
Wasn't it stated that though the ban is to November, that he can return to the club and start training from 2 months before...?.. so he'd be fit to start in November..?
I would think that is the plan yes but think Acun just trying to say it will feel like having a new player when Jan comes, not wait to do deal in Jan.
Or a manager that makes the best out of what he’s got instead of trying to spread cold butter on soft bread with a plastering trowel.
No one is going to pay money for Giles. He needs to come back and fight for a place. Prove all the doubters wrong.
Some would say 'Caledonian Urban & National Trading', I couldn't possibly comment. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
