Excellent news that Pedro is staying. Hopefully the new manager plays to his strengths and doesn’t have him wasting all his energy chasing hopeless long balls.
I think the theory is that we've exercised the option in order to sell him this summer rather then getting nothing when he goes out of contract.
He’s going to be on a pretty nice wage, he’s 33. Who’s going to pay a fee for him? If we don’t want him here it would be mad on our part to take that risk in the hope someone pays a transfer fee for him. If he wants to move, we don’t want to keep him and he already has a club lined up we’d just let him go. Can’t see it, pretty confident he’ll be here for the season.

I'd be happy enough to see him still here. I thought he was useless first few games. 180 degree about turn! He'll surely get some service this coming season, plus he'll likely not be first choice striker.
