Sulemana and Carrillo weren't on £100k per week and their selling club didn't want us to break our club record fee by going into £30m+ territory, in fairness.

I can see a few more loans heading to Valenciennes as am I am sure SR will want them promoted back to Ligue 2 from the National as soon as possible.

It is strange yeah. You'd be forgiven for thinking it is just Saints and Goztepe in the multi-club model. We hear so little of Valenciennes.

You'd think they were the sleeping giant in the sense that ligue 1 is of high standard, regularly produces excellent players yet it wouldn't take much investment to get them there.

The academy system in France is insane, Valenciennes were very badly run even before SR. Forget Goztepe if SR get this right they could be a great feeder club. For now it's all ifs and buts
