Not sure that's allowed. Wasn't there some sort of weird buy back agreement so Villa technically signed him back? Though I suppose technically that may have been before the deadline. I'm not sure.

The loan rule is you can’t loan out a player you’ve bought in the same window to another PL team. So sounds like a loan for Archer isn’t possible, might also cover a full transfer but there are lots of examples overseas where a player has gone on loan with an optional fee, done way better than anticipated so club have triggered the optional fee to then just sell the player for more money the same window.
No idea on the rules in England but the loan one is definitely right as I looked it up when we were being linked to Guiu from Chelsea and we can’t loan him

Sounds good right, Sheaf would be a excellent back up to Downes.
It doesn’t really make sense that Archer is being linked with moves then as it doesn’t sound possible. I didn’t think you could transfer twice the same window. Something about no more than two clubs having your registration

That feels steep. I guess they are basing it on the Downes valuation. Also explains why we are struggling so much for effective attacking signings. The fees are just too high
Defensive midfielder. So if the Sheaf talk is true then we are after another one. Probably to both play with and instead of Downes. Good news if true
I expect the nature of the conditions is the issue. As I guess we mainly want cover and the conditions will be likely based on number of appearances and/or survival. And I would expect Antwerp would not really want to deal on those terms
I guess it’s a case of whether the conditions soften or we pay more of a loan fee instead
If we sign Mandela, I hope we give him the freedom to play anywhere.
