I expect Man United will want to raise funds. We can’t get near his wages. But I would have thought Fulham would struggle on that front as well

Hmmm, good point. Our left side may have improved. Taylor is likely an upgrade at LB and if BBD played wide left he's better than our options there last season. But of course that would mean we have no striker, so overall that's a fair comment. Another sobering thought is we conceded 63 goals in the Championship last season and haven't really upgraded at the back.

It's been an odd summer. The signings all seem to be sensible but there's been nothing hugely exciting and I'm not particularly optimistic about this season. I guess there's still time for that to change.

A team with a good togetherness will get you so far, but this is the Premier League and you need game changers and we don’t really have any.

Saw a tweet suggesting we were still interesting in Sepp Van Den Berg from Liverpool. The player they have valued at either €20m or £20m and who is annoyed himself that he is being priced out of a move

Surely this only comes off if Bednarek leaves. And that would leave us with a very inexperienced defence

But he would be triple-barrelled, so we should definitely be trying to get him

It's frustrating, buying players and immediately loaning them out, but I can see how it could be a good thing in the long run, and hopefully next year we see the fruits of this year as well as new prospects for following years, so that frustration dissipates
 
Celtic increasing the fee for O’Riley, Atalanta bidding £20 plus. Think that will be us done, as you’d imagine O’Riley has an agreement with Atalanta for them to keep increasing their bid?
