Just rehashing old rumours from last year? That seems to have happened for about 50% of rumours so far

Sounds like a considerably smaller fee for Wood than what we offered them last summer. They kept him and let his value evaporate to spite us, then ended up selling to us anyway
Pretty funny really, Hopefully this is done quickly, Makes a nice change to get recruitment up and running so quickly.
I'll trust Russell on this one, he knows the lad well and he should fit in to the style of play seamlessly. He is also young enough to improve.

I expect so, There was interest earlier that Athletic Madrid were keen too.. So maybe Celtic are hope for a bidding war.

With my happy clappy optimist hat on - our target last year was promotion and we went for Wood who is a young defender. Presumably the thought was that we would get promoted with him in the side and we were confident he could make the step up. So signing him now is fine as we believe he has what it takes to make it in the PL
With my realistic hat on - never really stood out at Championship level and Martin knows him so bringing in someone who can play his style without much of learning curve, a style which I believe will get destroyed in the PL so not really a fan of playing it
Considering he doesn't even start for Swansea it does seem a bit of an odd transfer. That said, Martin has managed him before so clearly rates him.
