You would have thought that with all the “red bull” money coming in, that may not have to sell their prized assets. Brentford might have offered a higher up front fee. Living where I do, my Leeds friends are thinking it will be an asset sale£35mHe’s obviously already a very good player at Champ level in his fledgling career, and a great prospect, but that’s a massive fee for Leeds.
Still early but it feels like we’ve had some major shifts in the transfer policy. Underwhelmed by many of the links so far in that there are mostly utility and squad players that don’t seem to be much of an improvement on what we have. RM seems intent on building a British squad with none of that fancy foreign flair . Could be linked to the rumours that we had a dressing room divided on race/nationality/language when we got relegated. Still, I don’t think we will survive in the EPL without an injection of quality in key areas.
