I'd take JWP back, partly for the hard work and set pieces, and if we could sign Downes & Toni Kroos as well it would look at first glance like we had the same player three times. Imagine the bants.

Besiktas want Onuachu too. Judging from the amount of interested parties I think we should get a decent fee for him this summer.
I think it is such a shame we never saw wee man and tall paul on the pitch together.

Speaking of Fraser, has there been much news about his deal being made permanent? Sounded like it was something the club were keen on
I imagine much like with Adam Lallana they are probably set to be announced in July.

If we’re restricted on budget then it’s Downes > JWP.
But if money isn’t an issue then I couldn’t think of a better realistic box to box midfielder option than JWP.
Anyway, a striker, a goalkeeper and the retention of Downes or an alternative CDM are all bigger priorities over a midfielder.
Fraser as a LWB is ok, but with if we’re not loaning out Dibling or SAA, then I wouldn’t want the wee man to uncharacteristically take up too much space.
