From the current squad it will be a mass exodus if we don’t get promoted, though I’d imagine a lot wouldn’t return even if we do get promoted, so will be a big clear out again this summer either way.

Yeah either way I can see a big shake up. Don’t go up and none of the loanees will stay I don’t think, plus lose the likes of Adams, KWP, S Armstrong and probably others.
Do go up and can see a big shake up as most teams do when promoted. Hopefully everyone we want to keep we can keep though.
Out of interest, and I’m lazy, how many of the loanees are we expecting back? I know Caleta-Car is definitely off as there was a mandatory fee with his loan and Alcaraz has a very high optional fee, but what about the others? I’m thinking Lyanco, ABK and Onuachu mainly but may have forgotten others.
We were the saying the same thing last year. He's obviously happy here; I just wonder whether the club will want to cash in on him while they can.
I reckon we can keep Downes, Stu, Fraser, and Rothwell. Really not bothered about any of the others you list apart from KWP of course. THB is great but he's replaceable.
He may be happy/settled here but he's also a professional and will want to play at the highest level he can. He'll also only have a year left on his contract. So his departure is inevitable if we don't go up.
After the non-season he's had, I do wonder whether we couldn't persuade ABK to have a season in the Championship. Also think Lyanco is easily good enough for this division. And he'd be happy as 4th/3rd choice.
I think Downes will get a premier league offer with a bottom half team/ promoted side. Stu will move on even if we go up imho. I would like to see a CB with a bit of pace next season as KWP is currently our quickest defender and will move on. Fair play to him for staying and trying to get the team promoted this season.

Mad if he goes there. Championship would be a much better place for him to develop and get himself back to the PL, either with us or someone else
