Not sure that would matter. I believe Cristiano Ronaldo lives out there with his girlfriend. I think the Saudi regime has started turning a blind eye to this now, especially when it comes to footballers.Another factor is whether or not he is married to his partner - if he isn’t then they won’t be able to live together in Saudi Arabia

More generally, I would actually understand someone like Che Adams moving out there at 27 more than I would someone like Haaland. You can't say Adams will definitely never win a trophy in England but it's not that likely so why not cash in?
Exactly. And probably more financial certainty. Whoever he plays for in England there's going to be a risk of relegation which means a wage cut.Yeah im on this train of thought as well. He has already spent 3/4 years at a bottom half PL team, so why do that again when he can earn probably double in Saudi if the offer is there? For him most games are probably like us playing against u11s or something aswell so would be much less stressful than playing here too

Switching the Premier League for the Saudi League is like leaving the NBA for whatever the British equivalent is. Why would any self-respecting footballer do it? Especially in their peak years. At 33 years old I get it, but not 27.
How 50k a week isn't enough for someone is just insane.

It’s not the same. It isn’t illegal to be black in the Middle East.
We were talking about this in the context of Saudi Arabia though. And I typed the wrong thing. I’m almost certain it’s illegal thereThat's quite a broad statement; not every country in the middle east criminalises same sex relations.
Think it's around half depending on what countries you include in the region. Jordan for example decriminalised it much earlier than the UK.
In which case from what I understand Alex McCarthy did not qualify for said exception. Or didn’t ask because of other factors putting him off going thereWouldn't be surprised if there's exceptions for well off visitors working . Same as British enclaves where a blind eye is turned to alcohol brewing and consumption.

Yes - I don’t think we ever played him in his actual position.Isn’t this who we had on loan once?
Premier League clubs are watching Lens and Austria centre-back Kevin Danso, 25, who has been backed for a move to Manchester United by former player Rio Ferdinand. (i Sport), external

Thats an end of the transfer window kind of deal if we can't sell him for anywhere near what we want. Why would we agree to that now with the entire window ahead of us. There is always a market for goalscorers and of the players we want to sell, he will probably fetch us the most, and we need the money to try and build a team that will stay in the PL.
If we sell him.
