£10m for Jayden Meghoma from brentford; that's mental for an untested kid.

Shame to lose another gem, mind, but mental money.
Thats great business. We hardly paid a thing for him so in a couple of seasons we have banked about £9m profit off a youth player. Stick a sell on clause in there too and youre laughing.

Am I right in thinking he only has a year left on his deal and is stalling over a new contract due to playing time? Was this Meghoma or someone else?

I was expectantly waiting for news on outgoings, but Meghoma didn't cross my mind.

The turkish window is open later than ours so I don't think Onuachu will be on the move. But you'd think moves, even if loans, would be on the cards for ABK and Sulemana - depending on his injury.

Stop obsessing about the fanbase! The moaners are always the loudest voices so it isn't worth worrying about.

We've had one hell of a window!

But I still think we will go down.

Yeah hard to fault the window if it pans out as expected (no last minute unforeseen departures and Ramsdale and Cornet sign)

Still very unlikely we survive but there was just too much to do in a single window

Yeah Onuachu could still go in the next few days. You’d hope we would know today if that was the case though so if we wanted to spend any money we get for him we could

Central striker just to reduce the toxicity/negativity in the fanbase. Although let’s face it any striker we can get at this notice (and likely required to be an overseas loan) is not going to be the glitzy high priced striker large parts of our fanbase have decided is the only acceptable recruit

Toxicity is a bit strong init? I don't see the fanbase as that at all.

Do you speak to many Saints fans outside of the internet?

Totally out of the blue!

I like what I've seen of Meghoma but he's not near playing and having an impact this year and so to get £10m which allows us to invest towards more immediately impactful players is a good deal for us.
He wasn’t even near to playing last year in the championship.

But you are on record as largely ignoring the internet and especially the transfer threads. Fair play to you in that regard. Since we are currently talking about saints on the internet as fans it makes the second question rather moot in my mind. Of course saints fans outside the internet are more mild. Everyone is more mild about pretty much every issue outside of the internet. It’s what the politics thread can get so bad (and I’m aware I don’t always help in that regard)

The modern world is basically information overload. Nowadays we find ourselves 'refreshing' pages and trawling social media looking for snippets of information about things that we have no control over. It's not healthy.

It takes me 30 minutes to decide on a film to watch nowadays - too many options lead to indecision

It has filtered to all areas of life and causing problems everywhere

Annoyance over things like this are small fry in the grand scheme of the information overload problems

and I’m a massive victim of it as well
