I reckon Rambo will fulfil his obligations to Nice under their 1 year option.

The last week has all been a diversionary tactic set up so we can get some other deals done while people aren't watching.

Sleight of hand. Typical conjurer's trick.

In all seriousness, fingers crossed there are a few other deals bubbling away in the background.
I know Bulut has said some deals might be after the start of the season as that's when some better loanees get farmed out, when the big boys have done their buying. But if he's after 8-10, 3 plus Rambo makes 4. If 2 or 3 come in after the leeds game, we still need 2 or 3 now.

Dont get distracted by the big prize Mehmet, a couple smaller prizes would be Nice, sorry nice.

Based on experience Tan has been known to take court action before.

Tan wouldn't have a leg to stand on in this instance - the matter between Nice and Ramsey has nothing to do with Cardiff City.

You're making up the story to suit your wishful thinking as you're going along. Wait for the announcement one way way or another.

If Nice are deliberately holding back the clearance with no legal right to do so it is to do with Cardiff so best they move a bit quicker.

Seriously if Nice wanted to use the option would they sit back and let Ramsey have a medical in Cardiff because they will certainly be aware of that fact. They are probably having trouble translating the forms into English.

I don't get your logic.
If Nice have triggered Ramsey's extension, he's their player.
If they don't want him to come to us for nothing, they don't have to let him.
There is no legal reason why they should.

Perhaps we should tell Man City that we want DeBruyne for nothing or we'll send the lawyers in. Ditto Salah from Liverpool.
Hell, we could be top of the premier league in no time, for nothing.

I'm sure things are progressing.
It'll happen when it happens.
Trying to play hardball will get us nowhere fast.
And there it is. A done deal a week ago.:emoticon-0114-dull:

It is not that simple as there are different option terms which Ramsey and Cardiff will both have copies so my logic is they would not go ahead with a medical if they knew the option could stop Ramsey coming here. If Nice had triggered the option Ramsey would be the first to know about it so the logic is that he knows he is free to sign for us. That is the logic and I hope that clarifies my thinking. Tan taking Nice to court was a joke and I am sorry I did not make that clearer.

Another player on the radar.
Not sure on this, but at least they're looking.

Don't know much about him but I'd have concerns about him not getting regular football with a disappointing Baggies side. Of course, the 'ils horses for courses" adage is always to be considered. Most likely just WoL filling column space while they wait for other developments.
However, as you say, if we are looking, it's a good thing.

Get him and we would have more strikers than we could shake a stick at. A good deal if we can get it.

What's happened with the Nigerian winger from CSKA Moscow?

Our limited ability to spend means we have to rely on freebies. Whilst I very much doubt Ramsey would play for nothing, there's a general belief that his joining the club would stimulate substantial interest amongst both the media and supporters. The resulting increase in revenue into the club through sponsorship deals, fanbase purchases and media revenue would more than pay for his time with us.

Agree he brings no guarantees as to his on pitch influence but he's still miles ahead of anyone else we have at the club in midfield control. If he stimulates our on pitch performances as much as he has the media interest, then we'll be very happy. In the meantime, despite the belief of some that he's already here - as I write, he isn't.

Good reply OS, mine was a genuine question, not a WUM.

If Nice haven't triggered the option, why are we having this debate?
Ramsey is a free agent and can sign for whoever he likes. Nice are out of the loop.

But wait, we're waiting on papers from Nice.

To be fair, I'm not sure what happens when a contract expires.
Back in the day, the club held a player's registration and could stop players moving. Bosman put an end to that though.
Maybe Nice do have to sign papers and are dragging their feet.
Send in the lawyers.

Oh no.
An option clause.

Ramsey is poised to sign a two-year deal with Cardiff, with an option for a third to be inserted into the contract.

But who would have the option? Us or Rambo?

Either way can we ease just got it all sorted.

Or are the garlic eating surrender monkeys just making it difficult out of sympathy for their cheese eating compatriots at Nantes?
