It’s more the big money move to Italy and then going back the Brazil for a fraction not even 6 months later. And the wording (which might just be bad editing) suggesting fiorentina might not have benefited from him going back to Brazil. On reflection that is surely bad writing

But it screams “agent bung” to me like with Bebe to Man United

That just tells me they've got too many hyphens left over at the shirt printers

Seen him called the best CB in the Scottish Prem on a few different sites. If we can get him for around 15m, then it would look like a very good signing.

Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in signing England midfielder James Ward-Prowse from Southampton, while Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham are monitoring developments concerning the 27-year-old. (Daily Star on Sunday)

It’s being reported on in a majority of the papers. We’re always going to have to do a major sale every couple of years, and I can’t see us turning down this kind of money.
Would give us funds to really freshen the team / squad. You’d hope the new owners would put at least £25-£30 million into the transfer kitty so would be able to add some really decent quality.

Has our new owner come out and said anything about the likely plan for the window?

They’ve said before that we’ll continue to work in the way we have previously but that there will (probably, edit.) be extra funding available for the right deals and we’ll likely have a greater safety net. By all accounts it’s evolution, not revolution. I’m sure we’ll sell a few players early, then reinvest and our fans will go through the usual cycles of rage, then optimism, then inevitable disappointment six months later.

I thought he was the real name of bass player from Killing Joke, and all round producer, Youth.

I wouldn’t be opposed to him going. It’s no comment on his ability or anything, but I’ve been impressed by the direction our recruitment has taken under Matt Crocker where we’re targeting players he knows well from his role as youth coaching head with the FA. I think we’d possibly be able to replace Glover with someone better aligned with our new direction. Plus, who on Earth could tolerate someone who spells their name so incorrectly?

Well serving the notice period would be absolutely useless.

Yeah, I'm largely okay with it as well. I'm confident that Crocker can recruit someone to replace him, and leaning into his connections on the youth side of the FA doesn't sound like a bad idea.

    Gaining traction

“Meanwhile, SunSport has exclusively revealed Erik ten Hag wants James Ward-Prowse to boss Manchester United's midfield next season.

But that could spark a £75million summer tug-of-war, as City chief Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the Southampton captain”.

    I think it may happen.
