Not sure the contract means much. Virgil signed a 6 year deal not long before trying to force his move to Liverpool. Just means you'll get more for him.

This narrative that TAA is rubbish is laughable tbh . His defensive frailities are mainly due to the role he has in our system rather than his personal failings .

That's fair enough but it does work two ways. many Liverpool fans seem to want to suck him off due to his assists being higher than other RB's and they are also due to the role he has in your system. As a footballer he's clearly very good but i'd honestly not have him in the top 3 of English RB's based on defensive ability alone (I would have him in the team though and just accept the positives outweigh the negatives!)
James is a better all round player than Trent but in Klopp's system Trent is fantastic.
So it's easy to see why Pool fans love him, yet non-Pool fans would likely pick to sign James if given the choice of the two.
