‘Obvious’ to us as Ings is the only good forward we know. I’m sure the Spurs scouts have a few other names on their radar, and considering they will get north of £120m for Kane then I doubt Spurs fans would settle for an injury-prone lower-half Prem striker.
Without Kane, will Son stick around for long as they are little better than a mid table team without their main man and he is far better than a secondary striker for them
With the Kane sale they can get a few strikers - without selling Kane they were supposedly looking at Ings as they didn't fancy making Vinicius' loan permanent. No Europe for Spuds is good though, I also believe Scott Parker would be a fantastic choice of manger for them. Oh, Ancellotti to Real please too
Realistically if you've got £120m sloshing around, you're very unlikely to be buying Danny Ings, unless you wanted to keep £100m for a rainy day.
Maybe with the £120m they will buy just over half of Southampton FC from Gao and get JWP and Ings for free
Who is buying Kane for £120m? Genuine question, because surely the pool of clubs that could and would pay that is incredibly small. PSG and who else? Barcelona and Real Madrid in theory, but I thought they were up **** creek financially. Possilby Man Utd. But that's about it?
And even if they had the money, why would Levy sell now? Kane has 3 years left on his deal, Levy will hold on one more year and then sell for the same price. He knows Kane won't kick up a fuss so very little reason to sell now.
He wanted to leave last summer, but they had a gentleman's agreement to do one more year (and to see if trophies happened with Mourinho). Sort of like the Morgan/VVD agreements we had, except that Levy is a bastard, so who knows.
I can't see anyone stumping up unless Kane does his part and starts acting like a **** (which I don't think he'll do). If he does though I think Spurs will defo come in for Ings.
Kane should have left Tottenham after the CL final. That's when they peaked. That was their best chance of winning something in years and everyone knew they wouldn't challenge for league titles. Was stupid of him to sign such a long deal with Spurs. He's 28 this summer. Hardly old, but if he doesn't go this summer, he's limiting his options next year as it's still going to be big money for a near-30 year old. If he stays in the Prem then he'll probably break Shearer's goal record, but he might never win the league if he can't get a move.
Kane can barely speak English so I can’t see him going abroad. City the obvious money bags in England but screams of Ibra at Barca for me (Ibra was better than Kane aswell), I think it is just the media saying City need a proper out and out striker but Pep doesn’t.
Selling Kane for £100m and buying Ings for £20m does seem like Levy wet dream so could see it happening
